Why do you think they don't get credit?
They don't get credit from opposition fans because opposition fans are as a general rule close minded to other teams being the best.

They don't get credit from the media because AFL media is pathetic at analysing the sport and much more obsessed with the click bait soap opera style reporting.

Adopting the Giants as my finals team, I like the Kingsley connection and impressed with how they've gone about it this year.

I think they're good enough to beat the Saints, would be a lot more confident in Sydney but they've missed that home final by a goal or two.

Giants by 5, I trust their big name players in finals more than the Saints.

And that's more relevant than my guess how?

Which of the below would you rate as the best defence? You'll say the last one as it supports your augment, but IMO it's the first row as they score ~400 more points while conceding only 40 more. This would be the public perception in my opinion, but of course it could just be they the media is shit.

Um. I didn't argue they are the best defensive team.

You really should've left it alone when you said you were going to. 😂

I am leaning towards gws just.

They have that x factor and i feel saints are a bit vunerbable and not too sure which stkilda will turn up.

Another hard to tip game.

Resorting to personal attacks because you made an irrelevant point.

Strange.
At what point was any of your posts relevant to the discussion? And do you disagree that a team who scores 400 points more while only conceding 40 more is a better defensive team?

How was me discussing why your argument was flawed relevant to the discussion about your argument? Christ.

I'm leaving this here. And unlike you I won't declare I'm leaving it and come back another half dozen times.

Nice input, you've added zero to the discussion. Bye.

With this game at the g and not marvel, we finally put to bed the pipe dream Geelong fc have of playing finals at kardinia park.
MCG is Victoria’s finals venue.
If this is the case, St Kilda should be pushing for more games at the venue so we can learn how to play it come September.

But I won't hold my breath, even in our Grand Final years the AFL refused to allow us on the hallowed turf more than a few times a season.

I'm a bit torn on this one. I'm a big Ross Lyon fan and I love watching Toby Greene play.

Tough to tip.

Cats will argue home city final.

Just like Gold Coast if they make finals and get a home one, will play it out of Heritage Bank stadium rather than the Gabba
Unfortunately for the cats it’s home state and not home city final. I know Geelong fc feel they operate under different rules, however geelong is still part of Victoria from what I can tell.

I would happily play you on the g every year instead of that soulless stadium.

The MCG is the surperior stadium with a much richer history, but Marvel is only souless for Richmond fans because they aren't willing to travel the extra few kms across town to provide an atmosphere for their players.

Hah, I meant the club as a whole.

They are certainly currently in no position to push back publicly on anything that AFL HQ hands down to us.

Playing a Saturday day final at the MCG is also far from the worse thing we have copped.

I'm sure they'd have scheduled us at 4:40pm Sunday night if they could have gotten away with it.

Mate you're the one who has posted a dozen times saying absolutely nothing.

We get it, you don't rate us.

We don't care. :thumbsu:

Wow another poster with poor reading comprehension, I do rate you actually, I was merely offering a reason why people might not be giving your defence credit.

Why do you think it might be? That would be adding to the discussion.

I always travel there and have been there with crowds in excess on 40k, I just find the place has a cold, barren feel about it.

You should get at least 50,000 - 60,000 for your final against the giants which will still provide a great atmosphere at the g.

Good luck.

Saints to cop a mauling.

A genuine flogging.

Obviously Lyon will limit the damage in terms of the ultimate score line, but they just don't stand a chance.

GWS will likely get over 150 Clearances, and force St Kilda into about 600 Turnovers.

Saints midfield is rubbish - and GWS' is good.

Saints Clearances are garbage, and GWS are really good at them.

Saints midfield can't handle pressure, and fumbles and coughs up the pill when the heat is on. And GWS bring high heat.

I wouldn't be surprised by a 50+ point beat down TBH.
