Not sure the pingers were that much of a problem at the Dees tbh. Losing his dad, the media pressure, his own cancer battle probably had more of an effect imo.

Because it's well known he was never going to be the player he's capable of being in Perth, was just never going to happen, too many external influences impacting him negatively, especially with the media hounding him at every turn, Perth was the worst place for him, now he's in Sydney where nobody knows him, it's better for him.
