Very hard. They have a few players who do the hang dog[1] when things don't go their way. e.g. 2021 GF.
They often seem to give up when things don't go their way.

[1] Downcast; intimidated.
Yes, but it’s round one and I think they’ll come out with a head of steam on us. There’s something not right about Melbourne.

Quite looking forward to this.
Do Dees still have the steel and grit edge over Dogs?
Are the Dees still willing?
Perhaps the latter Q is the key one. Didn't look too willing against Sydney in our Clayton's Round 1, but now we know more about how bloody good the Swans are so that should be taken into consideration.

WIth recent premiers potentially all being 0 2 after 1 Clayton's Round and 1 proper round, Dees have a chance to gain back some cred. I hope they can because they are one of the more impressive teams when switched on.

I think the referees may impact this game, we know they have an aversion to aggression and a preference for outside players, so expect Dogs to get a nice little lift. I also suspect the referees have vision problems when it comes to detecting throws. Another tick for the Dogs.

My gut says Dogs will win due to the aforementioned, and in their favour they may be in better form and a better place ... the Dees seem recently to always be fending off one pecadillo or another?

Final Q: is cocaine a PED? That may also come into the formula.

Hard to predict. Melbourne lined up with one of the worst forward lines I've seen last week but they look more capable today. Still think the dogs might be in slightly better nick and have enough legspeed to trouble Melb though

Why is Melbourne favored?
The Dogs should win this one. Bont will dominate and the tall timber up forward are going to have their way with the midfield supply handing it to them on a silver platter.

Dogs by 29 points.

Not sure about that. Kozzy makes us dangerous but I'm concerned over Ben Brown and McDonald both seem cooked, hopefully I'm wrong but they will be a liability once the ball hits the deck and just can't put on pressure.

Having a professional commentator in Matt Hill instead of an ex footy player is a breath of fresh airb
He has a nice voice.
I just hope he doesn't turn out to be a foring ol bart.

Didn't Goodwin help win you a flag?
And followed it up with unbridled arrogance, refusing to change a single thing with the gameplan or fix the nightmare forward of centre.

Will always be grateful for the flag, but he's wasted the list since, and our dour style of play has become a chore to watch.
