The side that beat you in a prelim .

They would have smashed us , we were 2-3 years ahead of schedule . Their midfield would have had their way with us and it would have been like boys against men . It might have been even worse than the Geelong game tbh
Yeah it would have been even uglier than the 81 point humiliation Geelong put you through.

Umpiring has been a blight on the game recently.
But shout out to the umps today!
I thought that was a really well umpired game. Hardly anything of note to complain about for either team. Thought they got the HTB interpretations right for the most part.
It always helps the viewing pleasure when you don't notice the umps.

Won't get to enjoy the Dees going out in straight sets this year☹️

Maynard was inspired today. Please keep booing him!
The way he poleaxed Fritsch just summed it up beautifully.
People can say whatever they want about Maynard - but man he is a very good footballer.

I'd have him easily in Collingwood's top 3 in terms of importance.

For sure.

But last year they weren't incredible. They literally were a goal or two difference every week (including finals and the GF) between being a good team and an average one. They fell over the line on a weekly basis.

A slight drop off, of even 2 or 3% would have made a significant difference to their season. And I think they have dropped off this year. Not heaps, but enough to not be able to carry the bad lapses they had during games last season.

It's not as if they were a dominant force that were 10 goals better than everyone else.
This posts is as laughable as those writing Coll off because their form leading into finals last year was poor.

How did that turn out

How many were we missing today ?

And we beat a team desperate to atone for an embarrassing loss last week.

Let’s speak again in RD 22.

Laughable?

Do you consider Collingwood dominant last year?

Did they not fall over the line in many games, including finals?

Did they not have many bad patches during games that saw them give up relatively large leads throughout the season?

The Pies won three finals by a total of 10 or 11 points agai a team knocked out in straight sets 2 years in a row , a developing team who finished bottom 4 the year before and the Lions on their own home ground .

Melbourne destroyed teams in their flag run . It’s not even close dude .

The Pies did great to snag a flag last year but they were never a dominant team
Here’s my hypothetical - we would have had back to back flags except for the appalling Papley decision in the 2022 PF.

what do you know about finals?

One game off second, and percentage out of the four after starting with a premiership hangover?

Alot of clubs should be very worried if we get key personnel back fit and firing in the second half of the year.
Yeah, and?

You were 5th 3 weeks ago and 4pts from second and still found yourselves out of the 8 at lunchtime today.

You got North and the bye up next teams around you playing for 8pts in that time.

Then youve got Suns away, Bombers, Cats and Hawks.
Bit early for other teams to start worrying yet I think.

Moore knew exactly what he was doing.

Saw Petracca wide open. Led with the knee. Smashed his ribs.

Tip toed away from the crime scene without even looking back.

Won't go to the MRO because Michael Christian is a one-eyed campaigner.
Hmm interesting theory.
Spoken like a man fearful of damage that McKay or Curnow might cop when playing Coll next.
Look out 😂

Misguided optimism.

North beat the Eagles at home who smashed Melbourne on the same ground.

Meanwhile, you got an unconvincing win against the Dees only after sniping their best player.

Form ladder suggests North Melbourne gets the result.
🤣🤣🤣
You should just enjoy a brief period in history where Carlton are relevant
