I'm a bit underwhelmed with Collingwood.

Melbourne are horribly out of form, lost their best player pretty much at quarter time - yet they should have been in front in the last quarter.

Collingwood were not a dominant team last year, and are not as good this year. There's not a lot of room for error IMO between then being a really good team, and an average one.

Collingwood were 9th on the ladder for a reason.

Likely will make up the numbers in the 8 but a tier below the genuine premiership contenders.

Agree - today our VFL team looked ordinary at times, KB game made them nervous, but still got the points.

They are injury ridden. I think they are really missing DeGoey. Let’s see if anything changes after their bye in a few weeks time.
For sure.

But last year they weren't incredible. They literally were a goal or two difference every week (including finals and the GF) between being a good team and an average one. They fell over the line on a weekly basis.

A slight drop off, of even 2 or 3% would have made a significant difference to their season. And I think they have dropped off this year. Not heaps, but enough to not be able to carry the bad lapses they had during games last season.

It's not as if they were a dominant force that were 10 goals better than everyone else.

You’re forgetting about the massive armchair ride the umpires gave them.

Plus if Maynard hadn’t knocked out Brayshaw they would have lost, then faced Carlton in the semi, and we all know the blues would have destroyed them.

It’s “cute” that you are taking the two bye, soft draw, no injury Swans seriously.

We won’t see them again until our home game grand final.. but I expect it will turn out just like their last two finals at the MCG.
So Sydney are no good because they haven't had injuries but you don't rate Collingwood who have half a premiership side injured and still beat your pretenders ?

Yes that was another one of our lucky 38 point wins. 👍
Melbourne were by far the better team on expected scores again😂

One game off second, and percentage out of the four after starting with a premiership hangover?

Alot of clubs should be very worried if we get key personnel back fit and firing in the second half of the year.

Please consult your nearest ladder and show some respect to the Flaggers.

Pies were full strength when they faced Carlton and barely scraped over the line. We had 10 of our best 22 out.

Look forward to the rematch in a month. Have your excuses ready.

This is what 29 years of bitterness after a Salary Cap Premiership Cup looks like folks.
