It was for preventing / impeding Oliver from continuing play after the free.

Only thing that was difficult for me to understand about that 50 was that the ball was disposed of which would suggest a free kick should have been awarded. But the rule book says otherwise apparently? I don’t mind it if so but the rule should probably be revised imo.

The two missed holding the balls that went Melbourne’s way were pathetic. One directly led to a goal, the other stopped a rebound out of defence with scores level. It seems the umpires swallow their whistle if the ball spills free after a tackle where there was prior opportunity.

Calling Rozee getting slung a gift while ignoring the clear throw from Ben Brown that led to a Dees goal, the 7m pass to Bailey Fritsch that led to the Dees last goal. Max Gawn getting a free kick for throwing Jeremy Finlayson and getting a goal.

Did you want to bring up Rioli marking the ball out of bounds or port players (Rioli, DBJ, others) constantly ducking into tackles too?

The Rozee call after a blatant HTB is one of the worst you will ever see, although I agree the Ben Brown one was a shocker.

Gawn one was touch and go, and Fristch was a 50/50 call, however it was payback for the earlier clear 15m hit not getting paid and rebounding straight down the field for a Rioli goal.

You didn't lose because of the umpires, there are always ebbs and flows, suck it up.
