Brisbane haven't looked right all year. Any time they looked like getting some momentum they would blow their chance.

They do run the risk of not winning a flag with this group. Daniher being their Tex. One thing they have been able to do is get some quality midfielders through father sons.

5th place is probably the worst position to enter the finals on in the current final 8 format. I think only 4 teams have gone past week 2 from 5th spot since 2000 with the Bulldogs making the GF from 5th in 2021.

I think the top 4 sides will see more preliminary final appearances like in the 2000's.
