It's the windy day I'm more worried about and not the chance of further showers impacting our ability to play our possession game to it's optimum.

A bit like Richmond you don't want to give GWS to many opportunities to pounce on the ball in space.

Rupert wills is a king maybe he doesn’t kick fancy goals and run the ball down the ground but he tackles like a bull and if we have no one playing his role then good luck getting the ball to the boys who kick the fancy goals. Get ruped mofos
It's pointless trying to reason with unreasoning bias lilzab, let him stew in his own crud.

Anyone still at the cricketers arms in Richmond and is it a good atmosphere? Will be there in 10 and wondering if i I should grab a quick drink or two before the game.

And we’re here.

Our magpie family.

Surrounded by thousands and thousands of Magpies cousins.

The best.

Let’s slay them

I haven’t been nervous all week up until now. The bruises on the heart from 02,03,11 and 18 haven’t healed, I’m scared to make another one and add to the heartache.

I want our boys to make this year theirs but last year felt like a fairytale and this year definitely feels more uphill. I hope they can get the job done and make it right

As I said I don't know the Giants well enough to list their risks. Mumford has played 18 games this year and is an experienced AFL player. He's not to be compared to any of the 7 players I listed. Elliott is the one you could question from my list seeing as his form is great and he has strung games together.

Keeffe is one that I would mention. Though he's not at the same level of risk as Noble or Wills. He has 57 games to his name.

I reckon you should just stop. You're using blokes you don't rate on our list to cancel out the other teams injured stars, but admit that you don't know their team well enough to not rate any of their guys.

Coniglio, Greene and Whitfield are probably 3 of their best 5 players. As it stands, they're undoubtedly more impacted by outs. Things may change if we lose a couple mid game, but don't look for excuses before the race is run.

A bit of greasepaint on his face and a pair of oversize shoes would certainly be fitting.

FMD what a riot he must be at parties.

Hmm, I've said from that the start that they are more impacted by outs. The question was whether we are significantly better placed for personnel. If I was just saying our outs matched theirs I would not have listed our risky selections.

If Reid, Aish, Moore had been playing for the last few weeks I'd not be concerned about them and we'd be better placed than the Giants for sure. I've got more confidence in Elliott because he's strung together some games, but there is still some risk. No matter how much people like Wills (I see no one came to Noble's defence) he and Noble are risks to be taking into finals. And it's not about me "rating" them, they are objective risks, certainly in the case of Noble. It doesn't mean they can't work out. As are the two players who have had long layoffs in Reid and Aish and then the chronically injured in Moore and Elliott. There isn't too much opinion in this. And one final time "risk" does not mean I don't rate the players or that they will fail.

I know the Giants list decently well, but not the full story of their fringe players, so was not as confident to discuss those as I am with Collingwood players.

Anyway, too close to the game now and don't see any reason to take this discussion further. Go Pies!

GWS are going in pretty tall for an unusually windy day. Keep it low and hard into our fwd line and we should be good to go.

I reckon their selection is terrible. I'd be very disappointed if we went into a Prelim with so many talls. Windy day or not, having that many talls in your side has to negatively effect your ability to put on pressure.

Come on Pies, win this thing. Really want to beat you again in a GF!
