Played like rubbish last night. Very disappointing.

Midfield is struggling to give us first use. Port's midfield flogged us.

Think we almost conceded at the coalface, like we did last week. Dropping Graham is further evidence. Port just made it much harder to run the ball and put a lot of pressure on our forward delivery, resulting in plenty of defensive marks. Their backline is pretty young and they'd be pleased with how it stood up, but it was a team effort with the pressure applied up the ground as well. They dropped a key plank (Hombsch) for balance and it worked. What can you say other than Hinkley took the coaching points.

I don't think this is our 'A' gameplan, but is being used to give us a breather. Hopefully we can pinch next week's game and come back rejuvenated after the bye.

When is Richmond next playing interstate? This is becoming a thing now. The travel monkey is becoming a gorilla.

I still think Richmond are the bench mark , whjen they are on the pressure and skills show up and I don't think they can be beaten by anyone when they play at that commitment level.

We have Dusty, Houli, Prestia and Rioli to return and maybe even Townsend. I know Rance is the talking point, but when Astbury went down in the second, Port slammed on 5 goals. He comes back in the third and Port score 2 or 3 goals for the rest of the game. As great as Rance is, we have better "defenders" in the team if that makes sense.
In a weird way it's not a bad loss with those guys out as it let's us know who can come in should a couple of blokes go down.
Dusty has been playing crook since the Melbourne game. Have heard it's more than a one week calf. Heard he may not be back till after the bye.

What's the irony?

That some have no dramas playing Richmond at the G next week but then scream blue murder if they have to play a home game at Etihad coz "it's not Kardinia Park."

We had a bad night but came away with around a two goal loss,actually won 3 quarters of the game.

Not too concerned,alot of players could not keep up the intensity of last week,Astbury going down in the second didn’t help,our goalkicking wasn’t the best but I will still back the playing group and coaches.

Still top 4 on the ladder,what better way to rectify the interstate myth than to do it when it counts,in September,hoping we stay home as our form at the G is terrific.

My word the cats will. All BS aside they have some talent and deserve to be respected. But, i will tip us because i think we have the better list. Graham was another who didn’t play last night. There will be some players playing for their seasons over the next month at Richmond. Team selections are gonna be interesting. Grigg looks like he has lost a yard. I wonder if he gets a spell soon.
