Yeah nah they've gone the easier option again. Clearly the inferior keeper and not in form with the bat in the shield (marsh cup 100 barely counts imo). I wish him well but I won't say I'm not disappointed with this decision.

Worst thing is what happens if he fails the first two tests? What then? Know which keeper I want in the sub continent

My view is the same couldn’t care about the batting…they will in all likelihood average the same.

It’s the keeping I have an issue with. Didn’t we find out the hard way when we picked a batsman trying to be a keeper in Wade…it’s typical of these selectors not making the hard call. It’s a terrible top 7 with two batsmen in form

No it was a choice between Brisbane and Perth and everyone sooked the year before about not playing the main series in Brisbane so Brisbane got the gig over Perth, nothing more.

When you only play 4 tests someone will miss out as Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney are pretty safe.

I watch a lot of test cricket and the three most abusive/aggressive teams currently are england india and south africa, in particular this current england team are always involved in some sort of issue during their big series, few of the recent india vs england and england vs south africa were pretty nasty compared to anything our current lost have had last 2 years.

Reputations are a hard thing to shake.
