Problem is none are remotely in form. We’ve picked literally 3 out of form bats. Green I’ll give a pass as he’s not in terrible form but he’s not in outstanding form either.
Khawaja should have been picked for starters and Inglis is a better keeper.

It’s been years since Warner has done a lot. Look I hope he smashes it because after Warner and Smith he’s our best bet but I’m hardly confident. Coming off zero red ball form too.
And yet you want Inglis keeping, who let's through heaps of byes and doesn't stay down long enough to keep to spin.

He’s better than Carey. Pick the best keeper out of the two. The batting is basically the same although I’d be betting on Inglis at the moment there. Might as well pick Wade if we are picking a batsman

I hope I’m not saying “I told you so” after this series. Look whoever plays has my support but the top 7 isn’t near the side that should be picked at least on form if nothing else. It’s the same as last year Smith and Lab…better hope for the best with the others
Apart from those two blokes every other spot is a lottery no matter who they pick. We will never be blessed with so many great player at one time ever again and we need to get used to that

We need to let this team settle and build its own identity, so I would be happy to keep this side relatively unchanged for at least this series barring injury or a very seriously bad run of form. We haven't had stability for a long time now, and I think that is what we need following a lot of uncertainty and drama around the team.

Starc shouldn’t be in the side on form and yet we know he will.
I’ve always been a “just pick the best 6 bats, 4 bowlers and best keeper” type of bloke. It’s playing for your country not Afl footy where a bottom team needs to blood youngsters. Pick best available instead at that point in time and make the other fight for spots in tbe level below

Yep 100% especially in an Ashes series. Watch us compound the wrong selections by picking Starc who was putrid even with the white ball. They’ll pick him though goodness knows why
