Yep Buckleys mate, was sack at Adelaide because of poor communication with players.
Yet as an assistant coach at Geelong was highly thought of by the players

If he gets reappointed it is a no guarantee of his seeing out his contract at all... and nor should it be. Reality is, If we are zip and 6 at the start of next year and getting spanked... There will be a very high likelihood that the trigger will be pulled. This is the reality Bucks will have to live under for the next 2 years... it won't be a surprise to him... he knows he has no credits left. To suggest he is safe regardless of results if he is reappointed is crazy.
I believe you are exactly right.
Hence why club should not be taking the risk.

Since we're stuck with Sanderson can we make him coach the back line next year. Since he's a defender himself I assume he knows what he's doing. Failing that get Rivers to coach the back line. No more mids please. One is enough on the coaching staff. Entice Wayne Carey, Matthew Lloyd or Gary Lyon out of the media to coach the forwards. I think we should retain Anthony Rocca as ruck coach at the club. In fact I'm thinking of starting up a petition in support of Anthony Rocca. Any takers?
No

Not at all

I've seen footage of a Football Department meeting. Sounds reassuring

So please enlighten me how burns is all of a sudden the messiah of all assistant coaches now that he has left Collingwood?
Bahahahaha

Yes that's a good one.

If he stayed, we'd be hearing, boys club.

There is a rule in bigfooty Collingwood, once a player leaves Collingwood their ability is tenfold.

(Speaking of which, how is Travis Cloke going? Managed in the last round, rested? He might be retiring.)

Of all the assistants, Burns was the one I think we should have retained. The fact that Hawthorn have hired him speaks volumes. Meanwhile the real problem remains.
It wasn't very helpful of Hawthorn immediately taking one of our "underperforming assistants" cleared out in our protect Buckley review.
I'm guessing the Hawks ain't taking him just for his precious ip on Buckley's gameplan.

Wonder why they didn't take Harvey.

Is anybody as worried as I am the Burns going to Hawthorn will mean that the Hawks learn our gameplan inside out. What a disaster that will be.

No. Most overrated assistant in the league, IMO, and rightfully the first to go.

Bring in Hodgey development coach
New Assistants - do we try for a Rattan? Poach other potentials from current successful clubs,Sydney,Adelaide,GWS?

Sanderson is contracted.
Don't get the angst on him.
Seems a terrific operator and tactical type.
Also brings some fun to the players

He is the forward line coach, we have the worst functioning forward line in the comp. We get plenty of the ball in there but have one of the worst stats for turning fwd50 entries into goals.
