Australia v England First Ashes Test at the Gabba - 2017

Easy to say now, I guess, but that just looked plumb. Biggest mystery is how it wasn't given on field.

New DRS rules seem good - you can review that without any worries because you know it will be Umpire's Call at worst. Rather see sides review everything they think is out rather than review anything at all if it's over 75 - 79.

It’s strange that this wasn’t changed much earlier. I remember from the first days of DRS everyone thought it was unfair to lose a review from a decision that was umpires call. Good change

Warne talks a lot of shit but the one small thing he has going for him is a reasonable knowledge of the northern hemisphere and cricket’s happenings outside our borders. He’s spot on about Ali. He’s a very poor man’s Gilchrist when it comes to changing the direction of an innings.
Haven't seen a heap of him but he strikes at 53 so I don't know how much of an aggressor he can be.

I wouldn’t let that fool you.

155 off 207
86 off 96
76* off 66
108 off 150
77 off 88.

He’s an incredibly versatile player - he’s made some big scores that have involved a lot of grafting as well.

The complete opposite of his knowledge of our domestic cricketers.
