Read this on some cricket news site ... love this ..

When Rishabh Pant was on strike, Paine said to his teammate, Aaron Finch who was at short leg.

"Tell you what, big MS is back in the one-day squad, we might get him (Pant) down to the Hurricanes, this bloke. "We need a batter," Paine said to Finch.

"Not if he keeps blocking them," Finch replied.

"Fancy that, Panty? Surely, extend your little Aussie holiday," Paine asked Pant.

"Beautiful town Hobart, too. We'll get you a nice apartment on the waterfront. We'll have him over for dinner. Can you babysit? I'll take the wife to the movies one night, you'll look after the kids,"

toward the end..funny as.

Deadset, that shot that MMarsh played to get out has to signify the end of his tenure in the test side for a lengthy period of time.

Feel for him, but he has had so many chances and he's just not up to it.
At the start of the day he will never ever be a good test cricketer, he's just not up to it.

WTF he gets chance after chance is baffling.

He even said himself he's there to do the donkey work.

These selectors are a massive problem, how the **** do they see Finch as a test batsman?

Well spun, Shane. Numbers lie when it comes to Handscomb.

Laughing at your Mitch Marsh agenda. I bet you thought the booing was warranted & just. Classy individual you are, with your dementia jibes and all.
Numbers tell the truth for Mitch Marsh - second worst test batsman to ever play 30 more tests. But keep telling us how technically superior he was in the whopping 9 runs he scored.

Sounds like the Internet isn’t for you pal. It’s best you stay in your safe place where words cannot hurt you.

Imagine sitting down next to this skinny lad. You'd think he was was a student. Pretty intelligent. Couldn't catch a ball to save his life.

Nope, just elite talent.

A fantastic performance and in a series where the batting has been pretty dour, he's been the highlight for me. Him and Cummins a pretty clear talent edge on the rest of the field IMO.

(Quoting myself like a flog but I don't care, go **** yourself. :thumbsu:)

Yes I agree. He’s been my favourite player to watch this series from both teams. Seems like a classy sportsman as well, let’s just hope he doesn’t end up taking after his captain and become a flog

FMD, who was worse?!?

Do you think it's the first time he's ever played a terrible shot when his team needed him to perform?

If all his other useless performances had no effect on him being selected why would this one?

It is history's most bizarre selection.

Does anybody - including MMarsh - actually believe he'll make valuable runs for Australia?

The selectors are just trolling us. There's no other explanation.

The baffling thing is they made him Vice skipper!

What the actual!!

Rehashing, you are lad. So I will too.

Pigeon would’ve looked more comfortable than Handscomb against that Indian attack. Woeful. Walking wicket against England, rightfully dropped, comes back a year later, even worse.

181 in an Ashes test is telling for Mitch. Serviceable technique, despite his flaws. Better option at It’l level than Handscomb, though they’re both utter liabilities.

That’s that. My take on it is different to most, oh the humanity.

Implying you’re of questionable character because of that dementia comment (among other things) doesn’t have anything to do with my suitability to these waters.

Your comprehension ain’t the only thing off about you, pal.
