I regularly saw the two latter barely getting a run a ball in their limited 20/20 games. Smith isn't too different.

I think it's partly as the captain is often that more conservative player and needs to do less risky stuff. But taking up a tonne of balls in an innings due to their nature of being so great but NOT scoring rapidly costs us imo.... I don't think any of them ever belonged in 20/20 and the way the game is going even ODI cricket too.

Right now Smith is actually costing us.

Stoinis? He's been a repeated failure in the middle order. He either opens (or in the very least at #3) or he's not in the squad at all. Head probably should've been given a shot.

Maxwell was horrible for a year in ODI cricket. He’s in form now but that doesn’t mean we forget how bad he was for a year including the World Cup
