Just on this, I feel Dane Swan would be as good for Harley as he appears to have been for Dusty, been there and survived and then thrived.
Speaks a language they can respect and relate to.

Played football, basketball and went to school with swan and lived next door to him around 6-7 years ago. (pure coincidence). The guy is not a good example. Full stop.

I have no inside info. But after reading the posts my feeling is that we will get yarren and we may be in a strong position to get harley. I believe our football department has looked at all avenues to get quality but has come down to our best chances and they are those i have mentioned.
If we are are well and truly in the front position in getting these 2 and succeed in getting them at the cost being mentioned, this will be a decaffeinate upgrade .
These to alone will give us better depth than we have had. It will force the younger to train and perform far better.
Also looking at the cost of these players and looking at who has retired and knowing we are under the cap I f we can pull it off depending on trade deals , I am confident we can bring in a 3 rd player to strengthen us this year or be able to go bigger next year.
Would love to win GF next year but I am confident in our building and believe we will, if not with this years trade and normal players development but with next year we will be solid contenders for the GF.
If.s are always big but consider, if we have beaten daemons and dockers second time and it was only a kick we would have been minor premiers.
North did bulldoze us but dont knock this side down to low. The players do need to be held accountable and it is one reason we need to build strong depth. Slip up IE: chaplin you get dropped that should be our next step next year.
we have not have that sort of luxury over the past. So with the right recruitment, whether those we sign play in the best 22 as long as they put pressure on those who do play we will be in for a big year.
Get Yarren, Bennel and a third player with the money we have iam looking forward to next year

A tribute to the leadership group and Chocco Williams. Pleased to see Dusty hanging out with Bennell as I think Dusty had matured a lot due to the influence of our on field and off field leaders. I have no doubt that Bennell's off field issues will be under control with guys like Big Ivan, Jack, Cotch, Lids reminding him of what jumper he will wear, and what he represents. As for Dusty's off field issues from years gone by - they are a thing of the past thanks to our club. It the worst he can do is laugh at the Lollingwood Lesbos and display (using his hand), how many brain cells they have, then I know we have the best facilities and people to look after Bennell.

Just get it done.
