Not finishing top 2 after the great start we had to the season. Don't get me wrong, if someone had said we would finish 3rd at the start of the season I would have taken it but....

Hawthorn can lose Gibson and Lake and play with a second-string defence but still stay competitive. In fact they may have beaten us at AO had Roughy not been suspended for that game.

We were in cruise control in that Hawks game before that interesting decision for Lewis set them on their way. Did what we had to, nothing more.

This is what methodically building a list is all about. Last trade period it was all about bringing in pace and outside run and carry. This year will be all about the talls. It can't all be done in one trade period.

Andrew Moore.

Preseason I felt he would be our breakout player. Moore has Josh Kennedy written all over him in the way he plays and is developing and I hoped to see some progression in that direction. He now could instead be trade bait to another club that could unlock that, or he has 1 last year to stay on the park, hit some peak form and hopefully develop into the gun he could be.

Unfortunately injuries will do that to a player.

Just the rough patch. It's okay if we lose say one in every 5 games and end up with a record of around 17 wins and 5 losses, but when you win your first 15 and lose 5 in a row it just stings because you have to get used to that feeling of losing once again. I hate going into a game and just feeling no feelingswhen we lose, because I can't take the emotional impact it has on the following week.
