IMO LOB similar to Zach Merrett ......and would any of us knock back a guy with his elite kicking / decision making?
Hahaha. Call me when he turns out like merret lol. Merret super in tight areas, O'brien tries to avoid those situations as if it were the plague. Watched both country vs s.a and country vs w.a last night post draft to try and get excited. Saw nothing that suggests he'll be a good pick 10. I literally pray I'm wrong but I hold the greatest of fears.

De Koning did nothing too, but I'm more lenient on the talls as they often grow into themselves at 22/23.

I fear that we'll be looking back at the 2017 draft and saying that J.Garlett either saved it at pick 78, Or if he doesn't settle in an AFL system it was a huge disaster. Not changing my opinion on a player just because my own side took him, hated Kane Lucas, Matthew Watson and Boekhorst similarly prior to us drafting them.

Hey Bishop, interested to hear your opinion on Ainsworth. I hadn't heard of him before draft night but looks a player in his highlights.

His a beauty Shue. Wants to get the absolute best out of himself and prepares well off the field. Great character.

As for his footy is strength is his stoppage/ clearance work, only been playing footy in Perth for a season after playing against men in WA country footy from age 15.

Handled the step up with ease, accumulated the ball in bunches for Subi Colts, got selected for WA Under 18's and after the Champs played regular ressies footy for Subi featuring in theie flag and was an emergency for the League side a couple of times late in the year.

He'll surprise a few next year i think.

Thanks Bishop ......you've become the #1 go to thread for accurate player information & assessment ......now you're famous ;) i hope you'll do it again next year :thumbsu:

In what order would have drafted ainsworth, worpel and constable regardless of picks?

Possibly yeh. I always viewed Ainsworth as 3rd round or later where as I had Constable somewhere in the first 2 rounds and Worpel as a later second maybe early 3rd rounder.

They are all inside leaning mids but Charlie and James have been involved in more elite talent pathways than Brayden considering his only been in Perth for one season.

Would I have preferred Constable and Worpel to Ainsworth and Petrucelle. ABSOLUTELY.

Thanks for another amazing year of coverage Bish, thoroughly enjoyed it.
While you're at it, Angus Schumacher's athletic testing would also be great,
Cheers.

Just as I was packing my bags to leave BF for another year...
