If we're getting all antsy I wonder how the Tiges supporters are feeling. That Prestia deal should have happened a week ago. Maybe SOS can undercut the Tigers on that one as we have pick 5 - not that I think Prestia is worth 5.

Exactly. After a 2 minute google it appears he was also dogged by injuries prior to being drafted. No way do we sell the farm to get him. Pick 25 is more than fair.

How good has Marchbank been? Set the world on fire with his 7 games in 2 years?

From all reports, the top 8 players in this year's draft are head and shoulder above the rest. We have one of those picks.

I don't pretend to know the draft but everything I've read suggests its a top 3 to 5, and everything pretty much the same after that. Plus, there is a lack of really elite talent.

Suppose my point is that we rate Marchbank. GWS rate Marchbank. It's a bit ridiculous to make a blanket statement that pick 5 is a near certainty to be better than Marchbank. Picks have risk, Marchbank is a known quantity, relatively speaking.

I was thinking the same earlier today. "If the Tigers can't get it done maybe we should offer pick 5 for Prestia."

I'm feeling a little flat at the moment. Have been waiting months and months for this trade period........ and nothing..... No GWS5, Gibbs has torn my heart out and now we look to be keeping him.... (but good on SOS for standing tough). ZT wanting to leave...... and if we end up with smedts I'll vomit. Tomlinson and Marchbanks were locks....... now nothing... Hvroat.... zilch....
we need a bit 46hrs to get back into this
a good outcome would be
Marchbank - 2nd rnd
Hvroat / Honeychurch - 3rd rnd
go to the draft with #5.

Its a shame for Marchbank as he has nominated us and i'm reluctant for players not to get to us and have a bad experience but GWS are being completely unreasonable and bordering on psychotic!

They are willing to trade players picked at the same stage in the draft for peanuts. Players with similar injury concerns and no runs on the board (Ahern, even McCarthy!) yet they are ridiculous in their demands to us.

Makes no sense and I wonder what is really at play? Why are they being so unreasonable with us? Is there an underlying issue here between SOS and GWS? Or another reason for the prejudicial treatment?

No. He's not worth Pick 5. I'm just saying if we take the PSD gamble the Cheats are a good chance to take him. I'm not providing solutions here.

The only best 22 players they have given up are Adams, Treloar and maybe Marchbank and they want good return for them. I think it comes down to this as to why they are playing hard ball and fair enough to they are well within their rights to

Glad we are on the same page. You would think GWS would prefer Pick 25 than nothing for Marchbank. Seems crazy to let him go for nothing.
