450k? Cant see us paying him that.
But if he has an offer from Adelaide for some ludicrously low amount and was paid $350k this year, perhaps he would be happy to take the same amount again next year and come home to VIC, instead of slightly more to go to GC, or heaps less to stay a Crow.

Maybe Lyons will get picked up before us though?
Always a chance I suppose, but I think the players generally know how to get where they want in that scenario.
Can state that he wants to return to VIC only. That rules out everyone except *. He can tell * that he doesn't see them as the right fit for him.
If a player gets offered a a spot through the PSD, do they HAVE to accept that offer, or can they say no thanks?

Good for him. Pick something else.

You can't rely on manipulating the PSD - this whole "walk them through", "price on the head" thing almost never actually happens.

But there's DFAs and decent role players available "for free" without spending National Draft Picks or giving up genuine AFL talent.

That the risk, however maybe the asking price is why the team with the choice before us has been able to get him yet?

Or it might just be that GC are too busy with the Omera and Prestia trades.

Some news breaking, could it be the Gibbs deal...? Fingers crossed it's a ripper if so.

So, hope to get in a 3 way with Port and Dogs for Hrovat: O'Shea to Dogs, Hrovat to us, 45 to Port.

Geelong 2017 first and 38 for 25 and Tuohy. (25 ontraded for Lids?)

Geelong 2107 first, 38, 58, 63 for Marchbank, Pickett, 31, 37.

Gibbs: either snub or shaft Adelaide. Both OK outcomes.
GWS need more points this year in less picks than they currently hold in the top 70, not less points in more picks.

Surely we would say yes to that swap?

If he has said no and they are willing to let him go to someone else, then that could get them the first round pick to trade for Touhy.

I think the problem is that he's worth more than Touhy. The proposed trade is Cocky to GC for a top 10 pick, then 2017 first rounder to us (which is going to be more like 15-18)

no idea why geelong would be that kind to us

Geelong will be top 4 easy, that's pick 15-18 without free agent compo, academy picks etc. it's in the ball park of what I think he's worth.

Problem is though, Dangerfield and/or Selwood get serious injuries and it has the potential to drop.

Calculated risk from the cats, but they're picking up a ripper of a player

We don't have later picks to give or upgrade? I guess it all depends on who everyone thinks they can get with that first pick.
