I know it's not a Bluemour and just a tad off topic. I've been watching The Open over the last 2 nights and I'm starting to wonder if my TV can stay sound if Brett Ogle comes on there one more time and tells me there are more golf clubs in the world than golfers.

FFS captain Obvious much, I don't know any golfer who owns less than 3 putters for a start let alone the other 13 that make up a set.

Indeed, there's a push to extend the age of adolescence to 24 (which I obviously welcome...) because of clear biological/cognitive development factors as well as socioeconomic change.
Excuse my stupidity but I’m curious what would be the consequences of that? Makes sense to me given development is still doing its thing at 24. Is it just a category ? Perhaps just policy implications etc ?

Could be mistaken for a Baby Goat.

can you please stop referring to a 20 year old grown man as a kid?
I was still a kid at 20 (probably at 30 as well, even though I was married well before then).

A couple of generations ago 20 year olds were adults, many of them married, the main breadwinner, setting up a home & even going off to war. Many 20 year olds nowadays are still living at home, studying at uni/tafe, maybe working part-time, having their meals prepared & washing done by mum & are not even contemplating marriage. They are kids.

Anecdotally, a lot of young adults 18-21 struggle with personal responsibility and taking control over their direction.

I work in student accommodation and have seen a lot of kids who still have Mum and Dad calling me to sort stuff out and make arrangements (which I politely tell them, they cannot do, as their children are adults).

A lot of them just struggle with the transition of no responsibilities outside of study and personal commitments to financial, legal and career adulthood.

Some of this is an outcome of parenting, but some of it is due to development and executive functionality (the ability to think through and make a decision). I should know, I also struggled with getting my life together until about age 24-25.

Still think we'll be overrating and thus overpaying for players 'to help out Judd er... Murphy er... Gibbs er... Cripps' that will be ultimately found to be wanting ah la Brock McLean. It something that rhymes with fits me when we have to back track and 'correct' our own stuff-ups with yet more stuff ups! They are still other club's cast-offs even if they are higher profile cast-offs than our other cast-offs. I'm Pafloyul, and I'm angry!

we're not discussing their mental development - are you really suggesting you'd say to bolton whilst he stood there with a few young players around him at training (including weits) "so, bolts, how are the kids developing?" what a joke

I thought your name was Playful for a while, made your posts less intense for some reason. Hasn’t changed their value though
