Was a nothing story on channel 7, Just showed Rockliff at Adelaide Airport. Said Port have bigger financial offer, but Carlton a big chance with Rockliff being from Benalla

I just don't want another Hrovat situation.
SOS needs to be a little more cautious of the time and patience of the trade targets he is invested in. Hate being beaten to the punch, especially when certain players never turned their backs on us as an option.

Hrovat situation was fine.
North came in with a better offer and SOS wasn't prepared to augment his tabled offer.
If there's somebody SOS truly desperately wants (e.g. Marchbank), it'll get done despite external interest/offers.
No mention of the Blues? I guess not really that surprising?

As I've said elsewhere I'd rather have Rockliff and Pick 4, rather than just pick 4.
I reference Pick 4, as if Port Adelaide have come in with a monster offer to Rockcliff it may well trigger Band 1 compensation and therefore pick 2, which will bump us down to 4.

You mean Jack Watts isn't Port's main priority?
Gibbs is our big bodied mid that absorbs most of the midfield punishment and dishes out the big tackles etc. Apart from Cripps (who has already had his share of injuries) Curnow (who will usually have a specific run-with role) and Murphy (who will play forward more), the rest of our mids are still young and developing. Rockliff would help us enormously, not just be icing.
