On the rumour of Lethlean filling Trigg's position, does anyone have any insight as to his business acumen? In line with this spiel from LoGuidice:

"Our search for a new CEO will focus on finding someone with a strong commercial background who will drive the Club to the next level required for success”

Does Lethlean have exhibited success in a field of business that indicates his suitability for this role? I'm sure that'll be covered in the exhaustive due process to follow, but I'm genuinely a little in the dark regarding his qualifications.

Not really.

Seems to be a career AFL employee. Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce. Done legal work for the AFL, development and maybe marketing, fixtures and AFLW.

On the plus side he did play 40 AFL games and coached at lower levels so he understands football.

The Happydude rumour has to be BS - there are no 'big name' players currently without a contract.

Alternatively, it is not BS, the player has to be one that is currently in contract but out of contract next year, but their club is seeking to renew early.
