So your saying Papley doesn’t tackle enough? That’s what jumped out at me. But 3 a game is pretty average for a small forward to be honestI was going to say you were crazy but thought I’d look at some stats instead. See attached.
Would be hard to get a forward that’s done what Rozee has in his first year in the draft.
With Papley comes certainty.

You seen the last 10 players drafted at #8?
Papley s**ts all over them honestly. That is not to say our pick will bust but gee the history regarding pick 8 is not good.
Papley is a creative, attack-minded player who kicks goals and shares the ball with his fellow forwards. We do need more tackling pressure but Papley's primary impact would be on the scoreboard. So your saying Papley doesn’t tackle enough? That’s what jumped out at me. clubs let players go for reasons that are mostly understandable...……….chase me down a mineshaft...…….Blake Acres seems to be on the trade table at St Kilda. Why not throw him a biscuit, I really think he can play, probably needs a change of scenery for his own personal development.
Crumber. And ability to lace out passes to the other forwards too. Those are what I like about him. Like Tippa/Betts they bring others into the game.Papley is a creative, attack-minded player who kicks goals and shares the ball with his fellow forwards. His delivery to Franklin was a particular feature this season. Would be the perfect option to be hitting up Curnow out of the square.Crumber. And ability to lace out passes to the other forwards too. Those are what I like about him. Like Tippa/Betts they bring others into the game.
Essendon has roared back into the race for Jack Martin after having to rebuff him last year given their desire to secure Dylan Shiel.
But the Herald Sun understands Essendon has roared back into the chase for Martin, believing it can clear cap space and secure a high pick.
Carlton and the Western Bulldogs had believed they were at the front of the queue for Martin, an inconsistent midfielder-half forward whose best football is still sublime.
Fair enough but say as of right now come draft time if Papley was in it and available to be drafted...It’s a very narrow analysis to focus purely on the same number from previous drafts. Who was taken at one particular pick number can just reflect the needs of the particular club at that pick. Generally you would look at the group of players taken at that pick and just after to see what quality goes at that point in the draft.
For instance l do remember a couple of players called McKay and curnow taken near pick 8.

and wait three or four years to actually play at consistency level of Papley ?
Why would we do that when our stated plan is to bring in more senior players this off season ?
Hey guys, im quite close to alot of the media people around the club, got some info here for you all:
- Cogs 100% not coming
- Martin 100% not coming
- Paply 90% not coming
A big name player from Carlton will seek a trade

Obviously has skill but do we need such risk with a young developing team?AFL website just posted that Sydney are thinking about bringing Harley Bennell on board, is he someone we should be looking at as well? Costs nothing, high risk and high reward.
If there was some consistency to it we could all accept and move on but it’s bloody random and biased. I don’t reckon it’s anti CFC, probably they just want to make sure there’s one Sydney team in the finals next year - puppetmasters.
Doubt they’d have done it to Eddie’s pies. We definitely need stronger pro-Carlton media voices, established enough to be able to criticize the hand that feeds them.
Gil and his boys club can all gagf!
Hope you are 100% not coming ... to post againHey guys, im quite close to alot of the media people around the club, got some info here for you all:
