Yeh, absolutely, which was my contention. The only disclaimer to that is that if a club plays hardball, and nothing gets done on time, I wouldnt be shocked to see that player walk.

Dodoro is actually a friend of Silvagni's and they have had a smooth working relationship thus far (some talk that SOS did him a favour when trading Edwards to Essendon).
Essendon are in a critical situation at the moment where they have only one option going forward: stocking up on kids in the draft.
This is because a) fresh faces with no WADA implications and b) because nobody of any remote signifance wants to join them.
Give them the right deal (i.e whatever we get for Yarran) and they'll take it and send Jake packing (he doesn't want to be there or play under next years captain Heppell).

CFC: Offer is now pick 60
EFC: ...
....
....
EFC: Okay, how about pick 20?
CFC; Offer is Jones, maybe Watson if you throw something else in.
