We're talking about incoming players in the same way other club supporters will be discussing Paddy Dow.

He's an easy free hit, if nothing else it might give us the freedom to cut the list a little deeper this year (ie. move on LOB) while shoring up our depth stocks (instead of drafting with Pick 50+ in a draft nobody rates after 40).

Can't really see why anyone would be dramatically opposed to it, there's not a heap of quality on the market this year, I reckon a lot of teams will just be shuffling peripheral players around and taking their minimum draft picks.

Go back and look at a few of Elijahs first few games for the Suns. Do not underestimate his ceiling. Was a Kemp type pick who'd done an ACL in draft year. Absolutely exploded on the wing for the Suns in his first five or so games for so games without being subbed.

Like Jack Martin before him, if we can get him without giving up too much collateral as far as a net loss from Fisher and Dow, he could add even more cream to our best 22 in years to come.

Future star quality. Suns are clueless in playing guys like Ratkins over him for half a season.

Really happy to add Hollands to the list and think he will eventually become a classy mid. It's smart as we have to start preparing for life beyond Cripps Kennedy and Hewett.

Building a midfield around Walsh Cerra Hollands brothers is good business. I'd like to keep Dow for that reason but I've resigned to the fact he'll likely leave

If he has the ability don't underestimate bringing a kid back home to Victoria to play with his brother. he's been up there with the Suns watching Ollie nail that pass to Doc in front of 96K.

It's a great point. It's not like hollands has shown nothing at afl level since his drafting. Looked great last year. This year I feel he was played out of position (wing) and lost some weight to boost his running power to play that role. Resulted in him losing his power which was a point of difference.

I feel like Elijah hollands is an acres type pickup

Will be a head scratcher for the suns for years to come I think. He’s got talent
Acres had a very good year in a finals contending Fremantle prior to joining us.
Elijah has struggled to get a game at a mediocre Gold Coast…

He might turn out good but he’s a long way off what Acres had put down.

Get the feeling Elijah has the talent but needs to pull his finger out.

We’ll get it out of him.

Need to point out that Elijah played out the final games of the home and away season in the senior side. Clearly his absence was Dew related. While he has nit lived up to his draft promise, he has definitely shown enough to be an attractive target. It will be quite interesting to see what price is settled on should we get him. There remains a possibility he is forced to play out his contract.

The Hollands Boys are good pedigree

Do we think that we could be grooming him for that dynamic, high potency, tackling machine HFF that we lack? This seems to make sense to me..

That would be exactly what he’s be groomed for, reminds me of Rayner.

Didn’t look very dynamic on Sunday - racked up most of his possessions on the inside. Would be interested to see his 20m sprint numbers.

I think you're right. Hff: hopefully he can be our Zac Bailey

Wow don’t know him at all but a Rayner type is exactly what we need!

It has taken Rayner a long time to get to this stage, any chance EH can be that dynamic??

Elijah looks more like de goey every time I watch him. More of a mid that can kick goals rather than a forward. I would love us to get someone with more forward nous. Just someone that can get up the ground and weave themselves through traffic on the counter whenever we are under extreme pressure. Saw signs of mots doing it all year but we need him and durds to do it more often. I feel like we missed the boat on rachele. Was exactly the player we needed at the time and right now. Cunners is that player profile but I just don’t know if we can rely on him. Still puzzled why he got dropped for the prelim too
