Spot on.

It's a rumorfile and not a factfile for a reason.

Sometimes even the most informed people will get something completely wrong or what they have been told was truly on the cards but it doesn't always play out the way they are told.

Years ago - before I joined BjgFooty - I was with my mum's cousin at a non-family sports function. He was on the Hawks board at the time. Club president calls him.

As we left the function he informed me what it was about. Something that was on the cards for weeks was finally happening and the presser had been set up. Pres was calling to advise him or where he needed him to be and when

Not even two hours later it fell through. Some corners of the media had hyped it and they and the club pres had to eat humble pie.

It happens. It's the nature of business. Share what you hear, the community can debate it and if it doesn't eventuate you've tried and shared something insight

It's horrible value for money but just because that's a role that he plays doesn't make it his only role. You need versatile players in the modern game and that's one of his key strengths. Similar to Doc. He's probably on more money than you'd like to pay a Halfback but the amount of additional work that he does more than makes up for it.

Dom = 1 Cat B & re-signed for 2024.
Irish# 2 = 2 Cat B (Monahan?)
Irish# 1 = Rookie A (Duffy?)

There was mention re: rookie A for one of the lads. Irish Examiner perhaps. Seems more accurate than The Age and the recruiting rules.

This place is just an internet forum, good poster's and ITK's provide a conversation source, that will always be appreciated here.
Why would any poster take offence if someone else doubted or disagreed with their opinion?

Not unlike Arrow, don't have to agree with everything he posts, but he's a great source of conversation.

It’s ok to not agree and I enjoy the conversation. No issues with you at all.

I think we have been in “what else” mode for so long, it’s hard to see anything else. We need to build our back half tall stocks before anything else, if the Bot ever has a system malfunction we are in a world of pain.

Beyond that, speed across the park. We will experience internal growth as well as the boys get a taste this year.

The only place we disagree is that I feel like our forward line is in pretty good order.

So…we should pay $850k for a VFL HB? Or condemn Boyd to magoos? Obviously the contract hasn’t worked out the way we hoped but gots to play the hand you’re dealt.

That said, Williams if 100% is a gun, and I’d prefer him at HB and moving other around.

I don't speak for the club. It's strictly my opinion. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea of how Williams is view internally. I could very well be way off the mark

too easy

Williams is a better player than all of : Cincotta Marchbank and Boyd and Fisher ...he doesnt have the height to be compared to McGovern or maybe Kemp who is emerging class, as a defender, I rate him significantly better than Docherty - but Doch is a better defensive wing/mid rotation

He is also a forward rotation option with as much class as Martin and Cuningham and Owies/Motlop/Durdin are not even in the conversation.
