I agree Motlop has been disappointing but he's had a interrupted season .
When he has a full preseason and no injuries then I think we see a Motlop that we love, but any hiccup and his season is crap

We can thank Russell and his team for Motlop this year, been an absolute schemozzle

Exactly. Listening to Tom Morris this morning it sounded like Trac was wanting Collingwood. The Blues wont even be in the equation at the end of next season in regards to Trac, hopefully with TDK,Weiters and Co committing to the Blues. Better for us moving forward to #17.

Can’t wait for the Trac/Daicos straight swap articles

Motlop presents as overweight and lazy. Hamstring issues with Russell aside, he's not the first small forward to succumb to injury... Difference is the good ones come back ready to play, Motlop spent a month in the VFL just trying to get bare minimum levels of fitness.

He needs a very very big pre season.

Fitness and performance

"You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" comes to mind when I look at Motlop.

A high performance manager can create a program that will get you to where you should be but if you're not prepared to put in the work it's not going to magically happen for you.

What odd Bluemours!

And what are you basing this observation on?
Really...? Not fully Russel and teams 'fault' but pretty obvious he's made a meal of things........ So there's no leap in logic.

Imo there's something nqr about motlops whole season. Effort seems questionable. But no doubt his rehab and recovery has been a mess which is responsibility of player and health team together

Oddly both right, city south physiotherapy in city road port melbourne.

Craig Christie was our physio and it's (or was) his business

It has been an ongoing joke for many years with PooMonkey (Port Melbourne physio)

Was all about Murph being sighted at a Port Melb physio.

In the end, Murph ended up playing :tearsofjoy:

From 2010 ...

Hate to be the bearer of bad news guy's but.....

I just came back from the Physio and Marc Murphy was being treated in the next room.
I obviously listed with great curiosity to what he and his physician were talking about.

He had to come off the track at training yesterday, as his groins were tight again.
The Physio told him in no uncertain terms that he was not to run for at least 4 days, which one rules out him playing this week, and puts major doubt on round 1.

The other thing I heard was the Physio stating that it looks like his OP has flared again, and that the club would have to wind back his training schedule once more. He is also off to see a specialist. They were discussing an operation and if that would help. The Physio told him that it would defiantly help but that it would be a 6 week recovery!!:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Dont know.......
I wont say the name of the practice, but it was in Pt Melbourne.
I am guessing the club Physio may also have private practice outside the club.

There are 3 residents where I go.

It's been over a week since our last game, and 6 days until our next game. What do we have to talk about really?
