I have complicated opinions on it myself.

We don't know anymore than you do other than the club has asked for space for Elijah to work on his issues.

I don't think it's great stakeholder management from the club to let speculation swirl online and now release this on the eve of the season. The club aren't sharing the reasons and asking that we don't speculate, so we are complying.

I find it really rich that the club is dictating what can and can’t be speculated on (as has been the case since time immemorial with all types of public figures in the media) …. this isn’t a criminal procedure.

If you're employed by the club and you break the rules then it is fair to announce the circumstances and discussion should be open.

This would have to be very deflating for the playing group. I mean, I know the players are professionals and they will go out

there and get it done. But they are still human and they must be feeling somewhat disappointed and bewildered imo.

Couldn't see it. Maybe for Ollie, but the rest are footballers. You don't think of any stuff like this when you are out playing.

Just a standard Carlton pre season for as long as I can remember. When was the last one not littered with injuries etc... talk about Groundhog Day.

It’s getting tiring surely we are due for a break some time soon.
