Absolutely nothing that’s what, however add twelve months worth of size and experience to our mids and one more mature big bodied A grader and plenty will change including the result. For gods sake GWS have a 5 year head start and AFL assistance up the wazoo what do people expect.
NO Excuses for 90 point losses - sorry.

bolton has no respect, from players, has no game plan...we need a m.voss there,2nd time coach, wholl be wiser this time round, plus hell have the balls to put a rocket up these players, and hopefully put in a half decent game plan.

I would rather Blake Caracella than Voss.

At least Bill Shorten had the decency to resign.
Bolton should do the same.

So lets assume we put a brand new shiney head coach in place of Bolts. What would have changed today after a super talented GWS on the rebound?

Metalman, twas always going to be a Problem. GWS on the rebound. Would've like dt o have seen Charlie at CHB at the first bounce.
Coach to Charlie,
"whispers to him"
"kid were gonna get Hammered, I'm playing you at CHB, enjoy....

crazy vossy? genius! he'd get us 2 second rounders for cripps too!

I have to laugh at those calling for SOS's head when it was he that built the team that just thumped us.
Speaking of Giants surely that experiment has to end. Nobody is interested. Its high farce.

SOS has not built a team to win a flag this year. Unfortunate for Bolton but that's a fact.

Ok. Calm the farm (apologies to all for the negativity)! It will take some time (and pain) to allow the new fitness regime to do its thing. Last one of these gentlemen, get on with being a modicum of an AFL quality side from now. Bring on the Saints!

never seen a midfield that cant tackle win anything...a bit premature to use the term 'flag' in any sentence that has Carlton in it as well.

Of course its relevant. And the length of time they took to get to today is relevant also.
It’s not relevant at all.

He had a completely different situation up there. There is no way anyone could have failed with the amount of concessions they were given.

You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

3.5 years.
3.5 years from when the rebuild started...and even this year we are playing far too many youngsters...2 x first year players in stocker/waslh (who are both doing well). Setters first year with injuries, kennedy/fas/lang lingering in the 2s....only newman and mcgov are standing up in terms of newly recruited players.. cant see any other coach doing much better with the players we have and at their stages of development

Richards 7 disposals in a 44 point loss, LOB 14 disposals in a 93 point loss

Interesting statement

If we'd have selected Darcy Fogarty and he got 0 possessions, would we have won by 5 points? :p

Forget looking for small forwards and ruckmen ... are there any draftees in this years crop that specialise in being able to keep their feet and not constantly slip over like the majority of our team?

Farcical watching the same players constantly lose their footing and tumble over in the contest week in week out.
Slipping over is a default action for making you look like you’re trying, and absolving yourself from fully commiting to the contest. SPS is the master of this.

Bolton either has no match day clue or the players just aren’t listening. Either way, something is seriously wrong...can’t go on repeating the same stuff and expecting a different result.
Yeah it’s called a midfield full of kids that aren’t big enough, strong enough or experienced enough, in hindsight we probably should have kept Gibbs. Doesn’t matter who is coaching at this stage we need midfield support.

So you dont want to play the kids ? How else do they develop?

Like 90% of the players in the AFL system, they play in the reserves until they are ready for seniors. or, in the case of guys like Dow, Setterfield, even SPS and Curnow, let them get a bit of confidence up in the reserves for a week or

Make the changes I suggested and we would still have 7 or 8 players under 23 playing. Plenty of playing the kids. Just giving them mature bodies around them so that the kids can be put in positions where they can succeed instead of getting embarrassed like they did tonight

We lost by 93 points.
There is NO excuse for that. NO excuse, otherwise we will be the new Fitzroy.

How many 100 point loses did we have last year? Around 4, I think.

We have only won 3 games in the last 40 games or so.

The head coach is terrible. This week his papers are stamped "No good".
