O'Brien was fine today. One of few who was prepared to back into packs and apply himself physically. Just a shame that in 2 pre-seasons he has only managed to add like 3kg to his frame.

What have the fitness/conditioning staff been doing with him? His running was never an issue, so put some ******* weight on the guy.
He's not in the side to play that role or put on bulk. Look at Whitfield. O'brien needs to mould his game around him. We have Kennedy for that. If only they actually play him.

Hope young Murph is alright, nasty malicious late hit which was thinly vailed by a serial thung. Got up under his ribs and could be a lacerated internal.

If this is fair play then blues need to find themselves a thug to run around hitting ball players.

And while we are talking about a spineless incompetent afl umpiring department, it’s about time they start getting the umpiring of the game sorted out. If anyone saw the “free” against Hurley in the goal square Saturday night... well! The first place to start is handing out a couple of weeks suspension for diving. Give the umps some support. 2weeks for throwing your head back in the cripps jumper shove thanks. How about the odd free for a hold on crops too...

Most coaches care about picking sides that demonstrate an ability to stick tackles ...just a guess could be wrong.

Did you watch the NB game??? Whom would you bring in that stuck said tackles?

What about Voss?
you know when you have left it too late to get take-away food, everything is shut and there's nothing in the cupboard? you've just suggested the equivelant of a cold, shell servo, pre-packaged ham & cheese sanga.........past its use by date.........

No green shoots today. Going through the motions unfortunately, with no prospect of playing finals, so the system breaks down continually.
Will probably get up for a couple more games this year, but not surprised if they finished up 4 and 18 if they are lucky

never seen a midfield that cant tackle win anything...a bit premature to use the term 'flag' in any sentence that has Carlton in it as well.

Carlton were flagged from chasing GWS arse all day. Carlton players flagging in high pressure game. Young players from Carlton will always flag before older , fitter, more experienced players do.

Past, present, and future tense. ;) Anything is possible JAB.....

Would take that in a heartbeat!! :p

We lost by 93 points.
There is NO excuse for that. NO excuse, otherwise we will be the new Fitzroy.

How many 100 point loses did we have last year? Around 4, I think.

We have only won 3 games in the last 40 games or so.

The head coach is terrible. This week his papers are stamped "No good".
I think its the situation the club finds itself in that is the problem...all of staff/players are affected by the shear challenge to turn this club around as quickly as possible...club has decided to strip back and give their new players instant exposure to make them learn as quickly as possible....getting in some senior bodies was still a bit of a hit and miss last off season...its not the coaches fault...i dont accept that at all.

That 5kg or so is a huge difference. LOB isn't in the same stratosphere talent wise unfortunately, so not a fair comparison.

I can see LOB as a permanent fixture in our side from 2021.

We ABSOLUTELY need to trade our Adelaide pick for a player. If SOS goes through another offseason without paying up for an experienced mid we are ******. And Docherty needs to bloody stay healthy next year. Please please please.

The problem will be convincing anyone that’s any good to come if these performances continue.

Hey kids … heres an idea. We all love CFC. We all understand that not everything is right. We just got thumped.

LETS SACK EVERYONE!

That will help …….

We will rocket us up the ladder?

Strap in you fair weather sailors.

Its a bumpy ride.

We got outmuscled by 24-25 yo with at LEAST 3 years in the gym, better than us. MOMMY hurt us. Hurt Smurph. Was, from what I saw contentious. Suck it up, its what happen when a team is built and stacked with talent, that is undeniable.

As I said earlier this week, we were either going to be in it up to our necks, OR get smashed.

So the latter occurred. What now?

Sack everyone? SOS hasn't recruited well? What is the solution?

Come at me.

Not one for knee jerk reactions and I'm aware of the significant effect playing a young team against a mature team but.. Bolton is no doubt feeling very happy he signed the contract until the end of 2020 as opposed to having the employee position. That might save his skin at the end of the year.
this what you reckon?
