So who's our XI in June for the WTC?

For me

Bancroft
Khawaja
Lab
smith
Head
Green
Carey
Starc
Cummins
Boland OR Neser (purely conditions based). Neser would extend the batting but either one.
Lyon

Notes: wouldn’t consider Hazelwood unless he’s played 3 back to back first class games

So who's our XI in June for the WTC?

I do this in my head to go to sleep each night 😂

1. Khawaja
2. Head
3. Labuschagne
4. Smith
5. Handscomb
6. Green
7. Inglis
8. Cummins
9. Starc
10. Hazlewood (if not fit then Boland)
11. Lyon

Big calls are no Warner, Handscomb playing at 5 (I love him) and Inglis over Carey. I think Inglis will dominate County and either bat at 5 or replace Carey at 7.

700 wickets between Jadeja and Ashwin and their only wicket on a 5th day pitch is the number 11 nightwatchmen. Surely this pitch can't be graded any better than the last.

Below average

It’s not as bad as Rawalpindi which got a poor one

Zero chance Smith will be skipper. Very tiny chance they will drop Warner. They might drop him this winter but it will be during the Ashes IMO.

Might as well give the Indians the trophy, then.

Like it or not the flat pitches are the ones that keep batsmens averages decent, if we had pitches like India dished up first 3 Tests every game career averages of 33 would be the current 50+
Results pitches can still do the same though. By that I'm not talking the 2-3 day fiasco pitches we've seen in this series, I'm thinking of the match just completed in NZ, which saw three centuries scored.

Batsmen can't make many runs - poor
Bowlers can't get wickets or beat the bat - below average

Still been 21 wickets the Rawalpindi one was like 11 or some rubbish. It won’t get a poor rating
