Re: Fev trade

Trying to converse with carlton supporters is almost like beating your head against a wall

And trying to understand parrot's rants is like watching someone masturbate with a cheese grater, you think it will be funny but then you quickly realise it would be better for both of you if they just stop

This is gold. :D

Re: Fev trade

It is easy to say what they have said but I don't see anyone else ling up to trade for Fev.

I hope we bend them over so far now that they can see the sack.

Given the alleged horors Fev perpetrated on Brownlow night against his team-mates and respective spouses I don't see how the hell they can deal with him as part of the team.

The beauty is it is only ever going to be win/win/win for us supporters.

Either we get Fev cheap and the whole footy world sees Carlton get bent over and royally ****ed by the Pies, another club gets him even cheaper to spite us in which case the bending over is still Collingwood's doing or Carltoon get to keep him and the internal fructions eventually lead to a complete implosion with Carlton player spilling all over the AFL to escape the stinking ship.

To cap off any of these scenario we could even get Jolly and a few good picks....:D:D:D

Could this be the best Trade Week ever?

Had to have a good laugh at Parrot in the thread on Maxwells comments.
If he changed his username you would not be able to identify him because all his posts are generic crap. I reckon he just cuts and pastes the same shit year after year. has not had an original idea since I've been reading his dribble.

Hey Parrot...you just a bot account?

Re: Fev trade

JA is 192cm. Taller then Fevola. Next year I'd expect JA to be 2 to 5 kgs heavier an much stronger. JA is 21. IMO he will become a very good FF who can kick 50/70 goals per year. Our forward structure doesnt not allow a single player to dominate so much that they could kick 100 goals.

By the time JA is 24/25 I'd expect him to rarely being outmarked by any opponent one-on-one. At the moment he struggles on Scarlett & Lake. Both bigger, stronger bodies and AA players. No shame in that at age 21.
I know ppl who knew JA. From what I have been told his not all that stable upstairs. No doubt his got great potential but whether he lives up to that potential well thats another matter. The problem with out forwards is that they struggle when it really counts.Fevola is a proven goalkicker, for god sake he has won the coleman medal couple of times. and with collingwoods midfiled he will be a more potent threat upforward. I say go for Fev with all guns blazing

Re: Fev trade

But do you really think that we need him, he could be more trouble than he is worth. I'd rather see him take them down than us.

yes we need him and he wont be any trouble. The guy is a star FF kicking 185 goals in the last 2 years and his club is moving him on. I think he'll get the message not to stuff up.

And he isn't going to take either Carlton or Collingwood down.

If he somehow stuffed up so massively that it would affect the club then you sack him and have a clause in his contract that allows you to do so.

Fev will behave after this coz he now realises even kicking 80-100 goals a year can't save you.

Re: Fev trade

Can't believe we've missed ANOTHER champion because of stupidity and a lack of risk taking.

F**king Collingwood.

Leaving my AFL Membership on hold until Buckley takes over. Sick to death of Malthouse.

Re: Fev trade

CARLTON has indicated that it will not trade its troublesome spearhead Brendan Fevola to arch-rival Collingwood unless the Blues receive a super deal in return.
It seems to me that Carlton may feel that Collingwood are bluffing regarding their interest in Fev, so Carlton have responded with this. To offer a player for trade that they definitely do not want, means they should consider the best offer available from all clubs equally, instead of "super deals" from certain clubs. I've given up on what's going to happen because often a player looks like they're going somewhere and they don't, and often a player looks like they won't go somewhere and they do.

You have admitted that you feel Collingwood is nothing and doomed to mediocrity forever because Travis Cloke won't be offered for trade.

Why stop at just a membership then until it suits you? Have you actually considered changing teams? :) If you haven't, then hopefully you will! :thumbsu: You definitely come across as a person that cannot stand Collingwood at all.

^^^ What a beautiful set of scenarios.:thumbsu::p

I see that Carlton, with their "Superdeal" threat strategy, are going to handle this trade with all the subtlety of a rabid elephant.

Been an AFL member for almost 10 years, but honestly, this year was the last straw. It's Malthouse that bothers me, so in turn, Eddie bothers me for keeping him so long.

Since I already KNOW 110% that we will be treading water for the next 2 years, why continue on throwing away $435 a year for nothing?

I'll wait now until Buckley takes over since he'll actually attempt to do something with our club. Most coaches in the AFL would KILL to have the resources at their disposal that Malthouse has had.

He's the highest paid coach in the AFL but is also the ONLY coach in history to go 10 years without a flag. Explain the logic there. I love Eddie for bringing our club back from the brink of death (literally, we were gonna be the next Fitzroy for a while there), but once the foundations were put in place, he should have let someone with less vested interest take over.

Even Nathan I feel sorry for because he'll have the stubborn grouch breathing down his neck for 3 years while he tries to undo his handywork and re-program/take apart our list.

I can assure you, my frustration with our club has reached levels where supporting another team has crossed my mind. Look at Calrton, yeah they spent years at the bottom, but look now, they've put together a list that will surpass ours in no time. If it hasn't already. Yeah, Fevola going (if he does) will set them back, but Calrton being Carlton, they'll set their sights on a player, and they'll get him. Like Judd. Look at the players they got in their time at the bottom, Gibbs, Murphy, Creuzer, Jamieson, Judd, even that Hampson is going to be a player.

What did WE get with out top 10 picks in the last few years, including our time at the bottom? Pendlebury. That's it. Pendlebury. The rest are either gone, or will be nothing more than 'tryers'/'good' players.

If you're satisfied with that shit, then good for you. I for one, am SICK of continuing to pay my hard earned blindly while the club spits back in my face. So until Buckley takes over, they won't be getting another dollar.

Fev unlikely to become a Pie

CARLTON has indicated that it will not trade its troublesome spearhead Brendan Fevola to arch-rival Collingwood unless the Blues receive a super deal in return.
While the Blues have placed Fevola on the trading block and are willing to pay some of the full-forward's hefty contract to consumate a trade, the prospect of a backlash from supporters has seen them inform Fevola's management that a trade to Collingwood is unlikely.
In effect, Carlton is placing a higher premium on any attempt by the Magpies to acquire Fevola

Well as our Captain and coach has already said..

go **** yourselves we don't want the d1ckhead

I too am sick of this shit!

Harden the **** up Blues supporters, you bunch of soft *****.

Looks like it's turning into a big smoke screen, Carlton supporters and backlash, really, hard to beleive????

So basically we're willing to pass him on at a reasonable cost, and pay half his contract, which probably only a few clubs could fulfill......Unless yr Collingwood the we chose to roger you as you may be too close to a premiership.

Get F#@Ked

Very Well said, Finally a realist pie supporter! Wake up and smell the coffee the rest of you!

Oh for goodness sake. You have zero credibility, and that was all I needed to read of your post to determine that I won't be reading any more of what you have to say. Surely only supporters of other clubs that don't like Collingwood, such as Carlton, could possibly agree with you. There is no way that any objective Collingwood supporter, or fair minded supporter of an opposition club could.

What a surprise! A Carlton supporter agrees with this person. Enough said. Carlton would be a great club for such a whinging and irrational person in my opinion. You could both go to the footy together and discuss how you both feel that "f**cking Collingwood is nothing and doomed to mediocrity forever!" :thumbsu:

Re: Fev trade

LMAO @ shpeshal......Trade week hasnt even started and his ripped his membership up. Your obviously a little precious or have had a night on the piss like Fev and desperately regret it, feeling sorry for yourself maybe.

The temper tantrum you just throw is likend to the rubbish you see on the blues board!

How about we just see what unfolds this week and then if your not happy, grab your witches hat and pitch forks and go lynching.

I agree that we may be stagnating slightly but we have a real opportunity to break some lines this trade period and i'll stand by the guys who are paid to make the big decisions, not a puppy dog poster.

Let's wait and see what transpires this week as we have been pretty active in filling holes so far leading up today.

If pricks like the Carlton FC won't come to the party and try to screw us around then they can get ****ed.

The more of your posts I read, the more I realise WHY our club is what it is.

I'm considered the 'negative' Collingwood supporter.

I'm the positive one, wanna know why? Because I want my club to SUCCEED. YOU guys are the negative Collingwood supporters because you're happy for our club to go nowhere, and be 'also-rans' for the NEXT 50 years.

You talk about my credibility like you're on the board at Collingwood. How is your any different from mine? It's not.

You're a supporter like I am, the difference being, you take anything this club gives and gobble it up simply for the hell of it. Me, I CARE about my club, and want it to be successful. Putting up with mediocrity, and accepting anything less than the best 'simply because' isn't caring about your club.

Essendon droped out of the 8 ONCE, and they were trying to spill the whole board and asking for Shedy's head. Now THAT is caring about your club and accepting nothing less than the best. Already, their club is showing signs of returning to greatness. Essendon had a HORRID run of injuries this year and made the 8.

Remind me where we finished in 04 and 05 with some injuries?

Bottom 4. That's where. The cattle were blamed. "We couldn't get the cattle on the park". Neither could Essendon, didn't stop them.

Now we have no injuries, what's our excuse? "Geelong is better than us at their best". Whose fault is that Malthouse? Geelong didn't bottom out, so how did they get this great team together? How? Good recruiting maybe? Good player development maybe? A good coach maybe?

How can Malthouse have the f**cking NERVE to say we don't have the players St.Kilda and Geelong do WHEN HE F**CKING RECRUITED THE PLAYERS WE HAVE? Tell me.

They are HIS players. The only players left from the Shaw era were Presti, Rocca (until now) and Lockyer. EVERYONE else is HIS.

How about you take off those blinkers you've obviously been wearing for a long time, and realise everything isn't going as well as it seems down at Collingwood. We need Nathan to get in there and begin the clean-out ASAP.

Love the passion..!! :thumbsu:

We've always avoided making the hard calls..

Structually we can improve, and you have to trade quality to recieve quality..

and unfortunately we will lose the likes of Davis, Fraser, Dawes to get what we need to move closer to success.

We need two of Jolly, Fevola, Ball..

B: Goldsack, Prestigiacomo, H.Shaw

HB: Maxwell, N.Brown, O'Brien

C: Thomas, Pendlebury, Reid

HF: Didak, Cloke, Medhurst

F: Dick, Fevola, Anthony

R: Jolly, Swan, Sidebottom

INT: Wood, Beams, Lockyer, Macaffer

SIDE BY SIDE 2010

Re: Fev trade

Why doesn't everyone just take a bex and have a seat.

We as a club can't help it if the Blooze don't want to trade with us.

No point going nut about trades that haven't even been discussed between clubs!

Relax; we got all week.

Re: Fev trade

Personally, I've given up on a Fev trade, I really can't see one happening...Let's focus on Jolly and Ball!!!
Tell that to Eddie McGuire. Somehow I don't think he plans on budging easily regarding that. I'm sure that others on the board and in the footy department share the same view as he does, but I just don't know how many that is.

Please elaborate. I don't expect you to name names, just circumstances that substantiate your post.
