I know a bloke who did data and analytics for the Blues when Ratten coached there. He reckoned he was an incredible coach and all the football people at the club were devastated when they pushed him out. He also said that he a phenomenal recall for football details. They would reference a game years prior and he could tell them play by play what occurred - like specific possession numbers for opposition along with each play in sequence - dropped mark, smothered kick, ball in contention, etc. reckoned he was just operating on another level with that stuff.

Feels like another piece of the puzzle. Maybe a Mark Williams-like appointment. Awesome work. Plenty of wise heads around now.
