Voted on Tuesday .....no queues ... only 1 other person voting when I was there ..... and that was SWMBO !!
And no one flogging raffle tickets, sausages on bread, Knick-Knacks, etc.
I kid you not ....in the door and out again in less than 2 mins.

Will never vote on polling day again.

We've had robo-calls every night for weeks- one night I had 3!! Even had a call from GetUp one night, and managed to get out, "well you can get stuffed" before, as usual, I hung up.

I donated some money to Getup the last time they were keen on campaigning to save the reef.

Your last 3 weeks is my life now.

Yeah definitely don't do that.

After witnessing first hand how unashamedly dishonest they were with the public service job cuts, I don't even trust them to deliver on the facilities funding promise. They'll probably just claim a "budget emergency" and withdraw the funding.

If we end up with an LNP-one nation government, they'll probably build an internment camp on the site instead.

If you rank the suburbs by avg sale price draw a line through the middle you will have a line through the ALP vrs LNP voting areas. Why that is so is a mystery to me.

Yeah that's not true. I live in Coorparoo/Greenslopes and my electorate is labor

I grew up in Coorparoo in a hardcore Union/Labour Member family. It's always been a swing seat for as long as I can remember.

But I do agree with your point, about suburb housing price not truely indicative of a suburbs voting habits.

It's certainly true in more cases than it's not, there are always individual exceptions and confounding factors that are context specific of course (e.g. wealthy areas of San Francisco are overwhelmingly left leaning, and parts of Eastern Europe tend to see an opposite trend altogether)

In general, there's good evidence to suggest that your individual personality traits are actually a better predictor of which way you will vote than which facts you are exposed to, and even which issues you say are important to you. If you know someone's age, and test their conscientiousness and openness, you can make a good guess of which way they will vote, without knowing anything more about them, or anything about the main issues of that particular election. Conscientiousness and age are well correlated with right wing views, and are also correlated with wealth - so that's one possible reason why house price may be correlated with political orientation. Proportion of immigrants is negatively correlated with house prices, and immigrants tend to perceive more support from left leaning parties, so that's another reason. There's lots more reasons of course.

Rather embarrassing those cowboys in the LNP are more prepared to back womens sport.

Can't say I wish a LNP-One Nation government on anyone though. Good grief. But certainly won't be shedding any tears if ALP lose any seats in the inner-city to independents or Greens.

....so, have you guys up there voted for the good guys? You know, the ones who have fallen over in their rush to help us get our facilities..
There's no such thing as good guys in politics. There's only bad, worse and One Nation.

But to answer your question.

Nope.
