Not a bad start. At least the Lions are playing with some flow and co-ordination. Brown is having one of his better starts and the likes of Drummond, Adcock and MacDonald are making an impact. Wood is taking some good marks but he needs to be more effective with his disposal.

Its been a while.....

Agree it was a good 1/4 for us....we seemed to do most of the things that Leigh has been stressing we should've done in previous weeks. Still a few skill errors, etc but not as many as previously. Here is hoping it can continue!

The Lions need to block off the left-wing. Most of the time this season, the Port players go down the left-wing. If we can tighten the play on the left-wing and also block Burgoyne's runs, Port may struggle to create.

More to do with skills Burninglevi. Port starting to play like we know they can, from Bris it's more of the same.

A very poor second quarter from the Lions although the last five minutes were OK. Lappin has about 23 disposals and Merrett has been spoiling well. There are some Brizzie players in the forward 50 but they still need to back up the likes of Brown and Charman.

One positive part has been our variety going into attack. Drummond and Patfull running through the corridor to pump it long, or Power's dinky little passes to find players in space 40m out from goal. Brown has been able to play at half forward pushing up the ground.

Not the prettiest sometimes, but at least we're trying different stuff.

Brisbane have actually killed us in the centre breaks. Weve made more of our chances in front of the sticks....re Motlops goal.

Not much in it, could be a nail biter.
