i'm not usually a dweller, but one can't help watching his pathetic output and not dwell on it.That's crazy. Is he really earning that much? We should spend some time dwelling on that.

I want to give you a 'like' for the bolded. Even corrected your careless 'a' omission and embellished a bit..20 possessions, 28 hit outs (most on ground), 8 tackles, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s… (50% efficiency - airshots, kick n'hopes, mid air leg flings, miscued handballs)
How many rucks in the league do more than this?
If Grundy was on 700k, this thread would be in hibernation…
If you want to focus on overpaid, underperforming players… then focus on WHE who signed a contract in early 2019 (after a very good 2018) and is probably on 300-400k for 13 touches a week… and offers as much physicality at the contest as a floating shopping bag

About as likely as the club back-paying Grundy for 2018-2019 when his footy over-exceeded his contract.I suspect that Brodie will ultimately agree to renegotiate his contract for lower money, especially if it’s standing between us and contending for a flag.
It’s not unheard of - Tom Scully did it at GWS.

This has always really pissed me off about him. His ruck craft is straight up abominable sometimes when it comes to the physical side of it.Wish he'd focus on the ball rather than his opponent at centre bounces.
Wtf is he thinking jumping 5 minutes early.
Hopeless.

Nope He would be insisting on the Moors It’s moopsI don’t think Grundy would want to play trivial pursuit with you.

Just facts J. I hope he comes out of his 3 year slumberWay to support the team.
Better then 2nd half of last season
However, much of that is nullified by:20 possessions, 28 hit outs (most on ground), 8 tackles, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s…

However, much of that is nullified by:
Marks: 0 that is a Ruckman took zero marks for a whole match
Critical Errors: 8
Frees against: 4
Goals: 0
Clangers: 8
He has great stats for a Ruckrover (excluding hitouts which in themselves may or may not contribute to the team) but his deficiencies are so glaring.
If he takes contested marks then great that will go a long way but should he continue not to trouble the marks stat scorer then we have a significant problem as he is not fulfilling the duty statement required of a first Ruck. I really hope he does but he does not have a history of doing so.
At times some of his hitouts in defence make me extremely nervous and he lacks a physical presence expected from a big man.
I thought his ruckroving was fine, however a key selection criterion for a first ruck is to take marks. He didn’t trouble the stats sheet.I thought Grundy was good on Saturday.
Sometime I wonder which games you lot watched?
LOLi'd swap Grundy for Coniglio

B- from me, though as a teacher I was probably a hard marker - more than fair though.I'd say he was solid. B+
But he's being paid to be an A-grader, so that's where the angst is coming from.
How many contested marks were taken by ruckmen across the whole AFL. Whole teams take about 10 per match. However, much of that is nullified by:
Marks: 0 that is a Ruckman took zero marks for a whole match

Apparently, it’s not about how he played but how much he is paid.I thought Grundy was good on Saturday.

It's a pretty sad board the last couple of years.Apparently, it’s not about how he played but how much he is paid.
If Grundy was on 700k we might still have Treloar.20 possessions, 28 hit outs (most on ground), 8 tackles, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s…
