(Serious) Congrats guys - I always think a ruckman sets a tone for a club, and much as I hate Collingwood for 2 hrs on a Saturday, 2 of my favourite ever non-Richmond players have been Collingwood Ruckmen - Len Thompson and Grundy.

I know Richmond have gone down the 'We don't need a Gun Ruck' path with some success - but I do like it whenever we do have one (rarely). It just makes supporting your team more fun.

Jus t don't let him kick any more goals in the last 10 seconds of a game against us, OK?

Exactly he is our greatest ruckman ever and will end up probably the greatest ruckman to have played the game. No other ruckman can win his own ball like Grundy. He is a better mid than some others we put in the square.

Its obviously awesome that Grundy has signed on - but your bolded is a complete furphy. Our clearance work as a midfield group, with the names listed, has been appalling. We ranked 14th for this stat in 2019.

There is nothing 'astonishing' about it, its where we need to improve most as a unit.

We were number 1 for avg clearance differential in 2018.

Grundy wasn’t the problem in 2019.
