Any idea of what the deal will look like?
Keep throwing them out there and eventually you will get one right.A deal will get done this week.
Gibbs won't be playing for Carlton in 2017
Have you seen Bernie Vince play ?Cleric how can place Bernie Vince in the same comparison and classification to Bryce Gibbs.
Bryce has more finesse and talent than Bernie could ever dream to develop.
Let's just agree to disagree on that one.
I think the deal will be close to a pick in the top 10 and 20 or pick 13 and 1st rounder 2017 and our pick 25 returned to the Crows.
It will be done Monday or Tuesday the frenzy will be unstoppable by then.
Otherwise we keep him.
Go Baggers
So you think a pick 13 isn't giving up something ?!!!The 'right thing' works two ways. Carlton have placed a valuation on Gibbs and the onus is on AFC to meet it or provide a viable alternative. I say the exact same thing about HFC with O'Meara. Matthew Llyod questioned the other day why so many people look at trades as a win only for their club. You have to loose something to get quality in. If Gibbs isn't quality then don't go after him plain and simple. Just go get Tom Rockliff for a pick in the 30s....
Unlike some clubs we have list managed our picks properly and can still trade sensibly for players who we try and recruit..Bye Bye Caleb Marchbank, Jarrod Pickett and sundry other GWS players...or Pick 5 for them and enjoy whoever you pick up in the 2nd round....you do still have your 2nd round pick??
Someone just posted on our board, this year and 2017 firstAll speculation at this stage, but both sides are confident a deal will get done
Won't happen.Someone just posted on our board, this year and 2017 first
You need to stop comparing to other players. So you think a pick 13 isn't giving up something ?!!!
You guys haven't even had a pick so good for years because you've been too busy winning
Pick 13 for a 28 yr old is a massive call .... and willing to add a best 22 player ( Lyons) or a potential player such as dear
Your finishing position on the ladder for sometime now says otherwise..Unlike some clubs we have list managed our picks properly and can still trade sensibly for players who we try and recruit..
Wont be pick 5 and you can have Pickett, he can play on one wing and superstar Smedts can play on the other, be the VFL though...
And hence he gets pick 13 as a starting point rather than pick 23 like Vince wasYou need to stop comparing to other players.
Gibbs is contracted.
That is the difference.
How many good mids did the GF teams have this year ?If Brad Crouch becomes the player you think he will be then you don't need Gibbs.

Except for when you played PortEd Curnow came 5th in the B and F old son...if you are going to be a smart ar$e you need to get it right but I know what you are saying and yes Matt Wright(equal 6th with Sam Rowe) was a handy player but our B&F isnt exactly a accurate guide on performance. Kruezer was in the top ten and got pantsed in many a game where his opponent was BOG so placings in our B and F are nothing to get excited about.
I'm not missing your point it's just your point is no goodYour seemingly missing the point. It's not what you or I think his value is. It's what Carlton is after and if AFC is willing to get close to that.
Haha "hear you go Carlton we will throw in players you actually on record saying you don't want also". How sporting of you mate!
I'm not missing your point it's just your point is no good
There are many players on our list that could make Carlton better to go with pick 13 and if they can't see that well it doesn't surprise really
Lyons is terribly underrated by both our club and seemingly Carlton . I hope he shoves it up both clubs next year and turns it on
His champion data figures are impressive and he is a competitor
Of course it has no impact - we are not here to do trades . I'm aware of that , I'm here to talk footy As you areThis is your subjective view it really has no impact on the trade. CFC do not want Lyons. They have asked for pick 13 and Cameron. AFC feels its too big a price to pay. So either offer something CFC wants alternative to Cameron or move onto Rockliff or even go in hard late for Prestia as rumours are that his trade to Richmond has broken down...
No need to explain yourself mate. Gave up trying to make your point a couple of days ago. The art of negotiations isn't something that comes easy to some of the more vocal crows supporters on here. Most blues supporters that I know don't believe it will be pick 13 and someone like McGovern. Yet the crows supporters on here won't budge on 13 and Lyon that SOS has knocked back. You ask them what they are willing to move up too and you get no response. I live in SA and am surrounded by crows supporters. And thank god they have an idea. I notice a pretty clued up Crows BF poster Marty is pretty quiet on this thread. He seems fairly knowledgeable and fair on most things related to the crows. I dare say he is giving this thread a wide birth due to his counterparts. This is your subjective view it really has no impact on the trade. CFC do not want Lyons. My mail is that the crows are too advanced in what they promised Gibbs to back out now. By announcing it Monday morning it makes it pretty hard for Gibbs to go back to the blues. This is your subjective view it really has no impact on the trade. CFC do not want Lyons. But we're not the only club that provides a value for him, it's not a difficult concept. We value him low because of salary cap situation and depth in that area. If another club offers him more, then that's his value. Can you understand this?
I agreee mostly with this . As a crows fan I hope Lyons staysNo need to explain yourself mate. Gave up trying to make your point a couple of days ago. That the crows will get him to the club. This has been months in the making and a commitment from the crows that it will get done. What you mean?
What's been promised?
