Wow that was fantastic to see, sure am glad I went and tipped the Dogs for the rest of the games of the season on Thursday. Anyone else silly enough to tip us? :D
Will be watching it again tomorrow I reckon. Good to see Skipper really trying hard, and Brown not getting a goal after Harris was moved onto him.

Fantastic win!!!!! The boys didn't lie down and let the Lions run all over them when they threatened to several times. This will be a tremendous confidence builder. :D :D :D

Was your fellow stooge Curly going to the game tonight?

Yes it will do their confidence levels the world of good

Most importantly, it was a good allround team performance. The in's for this week all showed something. Robbins, Skipper and Morgan in particular.

I'll be honest and say that I didn't give us a chance tonight. I'm glad to be proved wrong.

Great coaching by Eade, but the players really deserve a bow.

Hmm I see a lot of votes in the Ching for Chris Grant.

I thought that Grant almost lost it for us.

He got beat by Craphead who kicked 5 goals on him. Brian Harris had to come in and rescue the situation.

Also Chris missed goals in the last quarter that would have sown it up for us.

Otherwise Grant's last quarter was good, but he had no opposition. Brisbane were doing a bit of a flood that left Grant as a spare man in defence.

So what was it that most people saw in Grant that gave him so many votes?

Where did they play?

Robbins played the majority in the forward line, with the odd little stint in the centre square. Some of his marking along the boundry was really good. He has strong hands and is normally good overhead.

Skipper rucked when Minson rested and also had stints in the forward line. I was impressed with his centre square rucking the most, as his leap was well timed and some of his taps worked really well. He presented his body as well, which was pleasing to see.

Morgan started at FF and roamed down back as well. He played a similar role to that off what Rawlings has done recently. Some of his kicking was a little down, but he presented well and took some good marks.

Ray didn't get much game time.

That was truly a nerve-wracking experience - ah but what an afterglow!!!

That ching is going to be a tough one to figure out ...

Morgs is certainly worth a game next week & Skipper won his fair share of the taps ... Also - I don't think Minson was injured, just tired ...

And i'm in Melbourne next weekend to see us win 2 games in a row!!

Cheers :)

Thanks.

Who was up there? what was the set-up?

Is Eade a genius?

Again I only have the radio covegae to go by, but it sounds like a we went back to the 97/98 setups where we used different smaller targets and crumbers in the forward line, rather than going to one or two. Johnno, Gilbee, Hahn, Murphy and Guido , Smith were all in the mix.

As for Eade, he was able to get the side back up, focussed and playing professional football after such a tragic week last week. And with some very good match - ups, he has shown his reputation as a motivator and game day coach is deserved. Genius? Time will tell, but he certainly made a case tonight.

I ALWAYS tip the Doggies no matter how badly we are going.

Silly mistake by Grant - we need to lift, and quick.

Silly to touch Brown! Academy performance throwing his head back when he was just touched on the shoulder - then another free after pushing Granty in the face!

Well done boys, what an exciting game.

Good performance by Rohan Smith also....awesome stuff

Go doggies

Granty helped get us off to a great start by beating Brown in the first quarter, beaten by Brown and the umpiring after that but again prominent in winning it for us in the end
