No doubt. If we’d just held on last week we’d be looking very solid for the minor premiership. Still in with a chance.
Minor premiership is still within our hands. Only 1 team ahead of us, we get to play them, beat them and we pass them.

We've never finished minor premiers, reckon it's a real target to aim for this year.

For sure, and we have a reasonable run home.

To be honest though, the minor premier’s record in GFs in recent years means I’m not fussed about it at all.

What we really want is a first final at the G (or Etihad), however that comes about.

It’s an interesting one as Caleb got to the ball first

I’m no expert on the rule but I would have thought that because Caleb actually punched the ball away in the air first before making contact to the head it should be play on. Cameron Ling on the other hand probably is also no expert on the rule but he had no interest in acknowledging Daniels effort to spoil first - he just wanted to continue his unhinged waffling on about anything that went against his narrative of the Eagles coming back - I’m convinced he lost money on Sportbet yesterday.

Ling the ding dong’s commentary gave me the shits!!! Was all about the Eagles making an expected comeback until his narrative was shat on.

Just a pity Daisy wasn't partnering him as well.!!

Can’t kick it to Kelvin and Shane from the 2s

Or the time he had some sort of fit at the Junction Oval and had to go off.

Who was this?

Brian Perrin, although no one has ever confirmed my memory of it happening.

I reckon it must be this game, 1 disposal for BP.

Re Shane Loveless, those who are old enough to have seen he and Templeton in 1980 might remember how Shane was an up-and-coming star, and in 1980 between rounds 8 and 13 kicked 3, 4, 8, 7, 2, 1, and 8.

He was 6ft 5, and 98 kg. A bull.

Imagine the terror of opposition backs seeing Templeton raging at CHF, spoonfeeding it to another monster in Loveless. It was glorious.

The Great Shane Loveless, AKA Pinhead, kicked over 2000 goals in his nomadic career in various leagues, finally retiring aged 46. LOL.
i remember the buzz at that time, we all thought Loveless would be a superstar, he had everything

Big Shane was unstoppable when he had his mind on the game, I remember seeing him take Bruce Doull apart at the Western Oval in one game (as well as ripping his head band off and starting a fight). When he was upset he was a scary sight, loved a fight and protected his team mates.

Given he played in the 80's the Dogs weren't popular on TV then, it was all Carlton, Collingwood and the druggies

That’s why Templeton doesn’t get as much recognition as he deserved. The 15 goal game is about all there is. His Brownlow year which would have left Carey staring in amazement was a minute of hand held Betamax videos taken from the boundary line.
