Not sure a change of coach will do anything other than further destabilize things. We've got structural issues at this club that go even beyond the coaching staff. I think there is also a culture of complacency. Blokes who don't seem too disappointed after a loss because they know they will get a spot in the team regardless. It's been like this for such a long time. The standards at this footy club are embarrassingly low.

Said that in front of 50 odd north supporters outside the old change rooms after an open training session. I couldn't believe it and those around me were shocked. This was the captain of the football club. I've heard similar things from others regarding players at open training during the early 2000's. David King was another pig in that regard.

Drew Petrie who would have been no older than 19-20 at the time was the polar opposite and had time for everybody.

And was always like that in his time at North......you'll never hear/read people say a negative thing about Drew Petrie.

In 25-50 games time we’ll be saying we need to give these young defenders 25-50 games
I’ve never seen an older slower backline that’s in rebuild of which none have ever been great in their prime
It’s amazing we’ve never found an elite dashing interceptor in a decade
Every other club has one

That's disappointing. Simmo always did come off as a bit of a private school kid aloof type.

Re David King when I was a young teen my mum went up to Kingy and Boomer near the boundary line while they were kicking for goal about an hour out from a game against Freo (I was too shy to) and they were both nice and made the effort to come over and say hi very briefly.

All that tells me is that the structure is a dogs breakfast and the coach has NFI.
