id rather solve the kpf one at 25 than the hbf one
Id rather solve the problem you have this year not the one you say will fully create itself in 2 or 3 years time. I also think id rather go into 2025s draft looking for a KPP with the 1st rounder as opposed to another midfielder in any case ie. get a highly rated KPP not one at 25

Have you ever heard of a chap by the name of Bailey Dale?

One of the 5 or 6 best playmaker half backs in the league?

Yep I have, he's a foot taller than Caleb and CAN defend a high ball marginally better. Caleb's been replaced by Lachie Bramble....because Bramble can run (both ways) and can defend.

Bramble’s disposal is also just as good as Daniel’s. I still can’t understand why Hawks delisted him.

Sad to see Caleb go, a great Bulldog, but will be glad he gets to play for a team that can use him in his best role.

My favourite Caleb moment was his outrageous kick in the semi final vs Brisbane at the Gabba, when we were 1 point up with 28 seconds to go.

Very few players in history have the vision, skill and sheer cojones to pull that kick off. Could have got us into a Prelim (and therefore a GF).

Yeah, very surprised he fetched a 2nd rounder when he was on the fringe of the Bullies side & past his best... & compared to buggar all for Macrae.

Though Roos just trying to shore up some experience.

Has there been strucutal changes at the doggies that made players like McRae and Daniel expendable?
Slow and one paced midfield.

Hence why Richards moved in there as he is a line breaker.

Daniel was no longer collecting the ball 25-30 times a game to offset his weaknesses (size and speed).

North dont need another pick 25 to clog the list. They needed someone to plug and play ASAP and Daniel can do that. One big issue they lacked is a versatile flanker and he fills that role.

Fisher is already a seagull I'm not sure why they needed another. They need quality key position players instead.

What quality key position player is going to want to go to North though? They couldn't even get Houston interested. Have to take the best quality available footballers they can get at the minute and Daniel is a good quality of player who will likely play every game for the next couple of years

Yes but fisher is on a 4 year deal.
And so is Stephens. Staggering.
yes these are horrible list decisions but that doesnt mean they should double down on trying to make these guys b22 players.

daniel will be a good acquisition if he keeps both of those two in the vfl.

Maybe. I think they overpaid as the dogs would have taken a pick in the 40s to dump his contract. But my point was more why give fisher and Stephens long term deals if you're bringing Daniel in the year after. All 3 are small and poor defensively so there's no way you can play them all together.

It's true that quality kpf and kpd are hard to get on the market and guys like Battle wouldn't even consider north. But it will be interesting to see what they do draft wise-they do really need quality talls (maybe they trade futures into this year to pick a kpf) and next year they need to get very aggressive in the trade market. Guys like corr and teakle and pink and ccj etc as talls just isn't going to cut it they need a lot better on the list.

Dogs would have taken a pick in the 40s yet declined 25 with 48 coming back?

We wanted to keep him, but 25 was too good to refuse.
