Did a fair old job on himself. Woeful. So who did Kersten shut down today?
They showed the forward line tackles stat early in the game; Carlton had about a handful whereas we had none. It's unacceptable, and it can't only be due to McCarthy and Cockatoo being out.
Our loss had absolutely nothing to do with umpiring, as bad as they were. Troy Pannell is a cheat, I know him, but he certainly wasn't the difference.
Scott said 6 weeks ago about our ill discipline that it's a Geelong problem...Nice to see he fixed that.Yes, the "it's our responsibility to fix" approach by Scott is not working and is probably even counter-productive. Time for a video edit to be sent to the head of umpiring. We are getting the rough end of the pineapple big time.
Posted this in the preview thread. Guess I get to have my curiosity fulfilled.I want Geelong to win and win well but I'm partly curious to seeing what happens on this board should they lose to the Blues.
I think teams have found us ou...While it's disappointing we lost, We should give credit to the blues for applying the pressure non stop of most of the game.
I have faith the boys will bounce back in the coming weeks,This is typical Geelong to play well below par against teams outside of the top 8.
So who did Kersten shut down today?
Baffling, isn't it?a hulking FF too dumb to play to his strengths.
Reckon there'll be a lot of emotional, knee jerk posting here shortly.

Chris Scott talks the talk and doesn't walk the walk... When watch press conferences with him I get that eerie feeling he is just full of crap...Scott said 6 weeks ago about our ill discipline that it's a Geelong problem...Nice to see he fixed that.

Once that settles down, we might get some good dissection and analysis of what is wrong with us.
What!!Reckon there'll be a lot of emotional, knee jerk posting here shortly.

Surely you jest.
Too simplistic to say we missed McCarthy and Cockatoo today? The pressure they applied in our forward line in the first 6-8 weeks of the season was first class. Without them running around, opposition sides are just waltzing the ball out of our forward line.
Might make Heath Shaw my SC captain next week. With the lack of pressure we put on their half backs today, he'll have a field day.
Shades of '06. Have a few good wins, get labelled premiership favourites, then the season turns to shit as the players start to believe their own hype.
Two weeks in a row we've been beaten by a more focused team who showed a far better work-rate, while we're relying on far too few players.
Discipline doesn't just revert back to the old free kick against statistic.Yes, the "it's our responsibility to fix" approach by Scott is not working and is probably even counter-productive. Time for a video edit to be sent to the head of umpiring. We are getting the rough end of the pineapple big time.
