Lame, so we don't have a pick on day 1?Split
Sorry, I couldn't help myself before
Unless we pull a deal. But unlikely. e.g. 25 + F2 to get into round 1.Lame, so we don't have a pick on day 1?
Yep so it's a two step workaround. It's Kennedy and Honey getting selected in the draft
We just recruited 2 midfielders, honey and durdin suffice as the smalls. Backline thanks!!
Both are forwards
Arlo. I wouldn't know him for a bar of soap but I read somewhere that Arlo is "extremely laid back and easy going". I took it as code for lazy and doesn't push himself hard enough.
We always choose the same vanilla project mid that we will either put back or forward.
Would that be enough?Grab the Bull (Crow) by the horns Blues. Take a chance. Apparently Pick 4 is gettable.
Offer ADE our 2022 1st and Pick 25 for Pick 4 (and a future pick) - commonly referred to as Josh Gibcus (the Liam Jones replacement.)
We can only draft 1 player in this draft. And losing a future 2nd in a better draft for a seven pick upgrade is not great to be honest.Throwing in my 2c and hopes for the upcoming draft period.
I would flip with excitement if this happened. It won't, but if it did...

It makes no sense not to allow Carlton the open list spot that would enable a pick split to take an extra player. Other clubs would in no way be negatively impacted, in fact the club (which could be any of the other 17 clubs) agreeing to give two later picks for an earlier pick would be to their benefit. It just seems strange that the decision came three days after list lodgement
Id think discussions were happening regularly so a few days earlier seems the right time to come to that conclusion for all parties
That`s why it`s in the "rumour file" section as it`s not a proven fact yet. Take a deep breath as it will all be done & dusted by late Thursday night.I ask again, what's with the moronic leak with regards to a pick as low as ours? It's not as if they can predict the exact players taken before our pick and/or that several other clubs would let him get to us if we are so sure he's 'the man'.
Zac Taylor is my wish….feel he’s the type of player we need.
The good old AFL like having the authority to bring in a new rule about being vaccinated (which is really correct in my view) but keep a hard line about not being able to amend your list after it has already been submitted because a player retires due to the new rule!!! AFL politics at work, (because they can) and Carlton also asked why the second list lodgements had to be in 2 weeks before the draft,(with Jones pulling the pin 3 days after that...) when all the list lodgements are nowadays done electronically and could be put in much later....but big brother said it would set a bad example even though they have just allowed two players to put their names down for the rookie draft 7 days after the cut off date because their managers stuffed up!!! Very flexible with that one Gil & his mates...It makes no sense not to allow Carlton the open list spot that would enable a pick split to take an extra player. The inflexibility on the part of the AFL, in a fairly unique situation, is puzzling and benefits no-one, least of all the fans!
Just Wrong. It makes no sense. Everyone looses. No fan of any club would say anything other than that the blues get their list spot open. The good old AFL like having the authority to bring in a new rule about being vaccinated (which is really correct in my view) but keep a hard line about not being able to amend your list after it has already been submitted because a player retires due to the new rule!!! Can only take 1 live pick this year.Throwing in my 2c and hopes for the upcoming draft period.

Agree the AFL should have been a little more pliable and understanding of a complex situation, some special consideration due to the unprecedented circumstances ? it didn’t need to earth shattering like an additional draft pick just some flexibility with list compliance dates.
The Cats are in the same boat as us with their first pick being 22, unless they can orchestrate some clever deal to get into the first round....It’s draft day bitches!
…..well for every other team it seems
