The frees were mostly there for the Saints, but there were a stack that weren't paid to the same standard the other way. It was incredibly frustrating.

A record in terms of free kick differential, too apparently.

It should have been about 17-13 their way. Remember one of our free kicks was an instant reversal so it was effectively 20-4.

Ultimately though we played so terribly I couldn't be bothered caring that much.

Always says 'you guys' and refers to the club as 'The Cats'...which is odd terminology when you're talking about your own club. Not too weird in isolation, but when combined with everything else, there's a pattern of 'your team not mine.'

Also liked blaisse's (or however you spell it) post on the main board the other day - which if that's not a Richmond troll, I don't know what is - as that poster is the single worst poster on BF.

Never has a positive thing to say about the club whilst trotting out positive shit about Richmond and Hawthorn while trashing our club constantly. How they haven't been perma banned is one of the biggest surprises of the last two years for mine.

Also didn't celebrate the flag, and only returned when we faltered at the start of the year, and hasn't stopped since. They're a troll who supports us or a troll who doesn't. Either way, they revel in our failure and it's not the least bit interesting/nor does it offer a thing to this board.

The previous two weeks we had Hinkley whining to the AFL about free kick differentials and then the Jeremy Cameron boundary line howler. There was never any chance we'd get a fair go this week.

Yep might have cost us and adel a top 8 spot and syd will play finals when they shouldnt.

In that case I expect another directive. If we beat the Dogs, it would just be the goal umpiring howler keeping us out of the finals. The AFL will want that horrendous error forgotten ASAP; therefore they won't want it to be the difference between anyone making or missing the finals; therefore they'll want us to lose. The dogs are already the umpires' darlings and we are very much not, so another skewy free kick count won't look at all out of the ordinary. Wait for the ump appointments to come out later next week- if we cop the likes of Williamson or Nicholls again we'll know the fix is in.

Not sure why people are going after a newbie in Neale - who isn't a ruckman - when so many other players, with more experience, were just pus.

I have only seen Neale play two matches; last year against Port at Adelaide Oval (I was there love) after Stanley was subbed off at half time, and last night's match on TV.

I missed last week's game where Neale apparently played reasonably okay? Look, Neale wasn't solely responsible for our loss, obviously, however in my mind, it's got to be two of the worst performances I've seen from any player.

I don't know much about the kid, what he was recruited to be, as I don't have time to follow the footy as intricately as I used to.

In saying that, last night, he was a massive liability playing ruck. He made Mark Blake's field play look silky. And, unlike Neale, Blake was actually an excellent tap ruckman.

Neale needs a lot more time in the twos to develop. For mine, he hasn't shown a modicum of football smarts. He seemed to be a dear in headlights.

I hope Toby Conway is right to go next year, because we're so far behind the 8 ball in the ruck department it's not funny.
