No point burning out the kidsHe repeatedly did the same thing last year with McCrae and Stringer. They seem to be holding up to repeated senior games this year so far. It will be interesting to see if they are rested at some stage in the 2nd half of the season.
Just thought I'd check in on the Facebook page, read two posts and the comments with the two posts. I am amazed how illiterate a lot of our supporters are on there and how little understanding they have of the subject they are posting on. Maybe our next community project should be on numeracy and literacy for adults along with footy clinics for adults teaching the basics of the game.
How would you do things champ? Can't get burnt out if there not getting a gameYou are misunderstood about the way of doing things.
Why quote me?How would you do things champ? Can't get burnt out if there not getting a game
I was using a shitty pun cause of hes nameHow would you do things champ? Can't get burnt out if there not getting a game
Not here to argue just believe everyone has a point of view right or wrongI was using a shitty pun cause of hes name
But Bonti was carry an injury from the week before hence why he didn't play so much and why he got dropped due to a precaution.
Do you feel Dale Morris is a real star?
Then why do you think Talia can't be a star? Has a similar skill set in a bigger package. Dale was nothing at Talia's age, neither was Lake.Yes - absolute gun in my eyes - not looking forward to his retirement !
Bontempelli has been mismanaged on one occasion - he shouldn't have been made sub, but hindsight's a wonderful thing.Macca is a complete idiot......Look at the mis management of Bontempelli......Likeiwse with Honeychurch......
Would I be right in saying that Honeychurch's spot is that of Dahlhaus or Hunter? If so, sort of hard to push those guys out.Bontempelli has been mismanaged on one occasion - he shouldn't have been made sub, but hindsight's a wonderful thing.
Furthermore, how has Honeychurch been mismanaged? I'm the biggest Honeychurch fan on the face of the earth and can't wait for him to debut but there's no point rushing him into the side, and his form's been good at VFL level. He knows he's being rewarded for it with a place as an emergency but has to keep working and performing because a spot hasn't opened up for him just yet.

That's an interesting point. On the drive home from the Adelaide game Sloane was on the radio saying how he's rarely that stuffed after a game of footy and was just relieved to get the win, and the Swans last year mentioned how physical the Dogs can be, so we'll see how much is in that.I find it interesting that Sloane and Zaharakis both who've recently played us and in Sloane's case just played Melbourne picked us without any doubt on the Footy Show, (yeah I watched it )

Yeah I noticed that on the three or four times I've seen him at VFL level. Just a little prick, can't wait to see him, Smith and Libba in the same side flying the flag. Has the makings of another Wog Squad (without the wog)That's an interesting point. I think Honeychurch is a different player to Hunter, he's probably closer to the Dahlhaus mould but definitely more aggressive, not afraid to baulk and weave through, but from what I've seen he doesn't quite have that freaky streak Dahl has where he just creates something magical out of nothing.
Edit: Oh, and Honey definitely loves a scrap, more than anyone on our list that I've seen
Yeah, I was probably too young (was only 2 in 1997) but my Dad speaks very fondly of how hated we were for our thuggery at that time, haha.Yeah I noticed that on the three or four times I've seen him at VFL level. With Sloane, just freaked me out how matter of fact he was, specifically said our midfield is too strong.
If you get a chance watch a few games from that period. I was an early teen and it was the best time to be a Footscray supporter with those little bastards terrorizing the competition. Long live the new Wog squad.Yeah, I was probably too young (was only 2 in 1997) but my Dad speaks very fondly of how hated we were for our thuggery at that time, haha.
I think we'll have a few more half-time wrestles with Libba, Hunter, Clay and Honey in the one side.
That's definitely strange to hear about Sloane, but I'm glad for it. I hate how so many players are dismissive of us during the tips, even when we were up the top it was the same story. Maybe earning a bit of respect in this competition among the players, at least. Better than demanding it, like North, I suppose.
Yeah, I've seen a few episodes of Footy Flashbacks featuring us and Dad's got the odd Name-A-Game lying around, I'd love to have been old enough to appreciate it though. If you get a chance watch a few games from that period. North don't really demand respect, they just whinge until someone eventually humours them.
