Agreed. I think he's the prototype for the brand of footy we're trying to play, but he's still getting there physically.

Yeah for sure, I just think people judge him a bit harsher than they should. He'd only played 13 games when he got to the club and struggled with injuries like OP before then yet people think of him as one of our more experienced players IMO.

your midfield is definitely superior to ours.

We rank 18th in the comp in clearances with 225 and 17th for clearances against with 294. Difference of minus 69.

you guys rank, 13th in clearances with 266 and 12th for clearances against with 272, difference of minus 6.

the stats show that you guys are pretty close to breaking even with your opposition in the midfield and for us while we have improved this year we are still a long way off.

Definitely. It's an easy mistake to make because he's fairly well built and we brought him in from another club, but he's still only 22 and has played just 36 games, and he's being asked to play a physically taxing brand that does suit his style but requires increased endurance and a strong mental state.

He only missed 3 games in 2013 and 1 so far this year (2 after tonight), so he's doing alright - a lot of his work goes unnoticed but he does have the potential to star as he did in that St Kilda game last year.
