As it stands ATM MB the players noted are between 2- 3 weeks from returning (maybe sooner, maybe later). Placing them on the LTI would mean a minimum 8 - 9 weeks out of both the Afl and VFL system. Therefor if their recovery period is quicker than expected we run the risk of having players sitting out games when in need of a run.
The point I was making is that the kids in question have been injured for long enough that they may as well have been on the LTI list from the start, given that by the time they do get back on the park, in each case it will have been over 8 weeks since they were first injured. Therefore, as it turns out, we would have lost nothing by LTI listing them and promoting a rookie.
In any event, Patrick Karnezis was listed as "indefinite" there for a while, so at the very least, as someone we're not counting on getting all that much out of for the time being, he could have been LIT listed for maybe Kyle Martin...
