I haven't really posted here in years (hence the display pic..) but I am just begging for one thing. It's the same as all of you. I just want a coach to actually send a message and make mass changes. PLEASE, drop 7-8 players and play some of the guys wasting away in the VFL to see if they have a future. I think we all agree there is no point paying hall, turner, howe (shiels is an exception as hes been recruited for stability and leadership and hes been great all year).

Powell (inj), Comben (inj), CCJ (inj), Howe, Turner, Hall, Scott

In:

Greenwood, Drury, Goater, Bergman, LDU, Phillips + someone else

Yes I am aware that we cannot play bonar/corr/young/logue/mckay together - thats another puzzle

Yes our co captain mcdonald is being torched most weeks, unsure what to do there

dunno about anyone else but having watched plenty of vfl this year mahony is probably further away than TT from a start. He’s nowhere near the level.

I am probably overly optimistic, but I don't think it's as doom and gloom as the last 4 weeks scores have indicated. Ever since the Hawthorn loss we have been exposed by teams posessing the ball with short kicks and we have been exposed on turnover meaning our defensive setup hasnt been right. On the plus side in 3 of those four losses including last week we have had over 50 inside 50's which is enough to kick a winning score, so we are winning our share of the ball.

Personally i think we need to

• Cut down on turnovers
• Settle the back 6. We need to play McKay, Corr, Louge, L Mac, Zibes and Sheez for the next month at least and let them sort it out. I'd throw in Bergs as the 7th defender.
• We need more pressure in the front half, it's been a problem for 4 years and its still there.

so my changes would be:
In - Bergman, Drury, LDU, Greenwood (play fwd)
Out - Hall, Comben, Turner, Powell, CCJ

If LDU isn't fit then Phillips would come in.

I can actually kind of tolerate Howe tbh. He has no future with us but I see Turner and Hall as being more immediately detrimental to the team, and Bergman and Drury seem like relatively easy switches to make. There's just so much uphill work to do. You replace the bottom few players in the team and then the next bottom few players really aren't much better. But first we have to replace the injured players lmao. Pain. I'd like to see both Hall and Turner dropped but if we already have 3 out due to injury I'm not sure how likely it is given Clarko made it sound like he'd prefer to incrementally add kids to the team rather than full on rip the bandaid. Really hoping that JZ pulled up fine, I suspect he will considering just how influential he was after he came back on but you never know with these things.

Just checking your board for SC purposes, but god damn is this comment not 100% spot on about the Eagles right now too. I could just switch out the names, post this on our board and watch the likes roll in.

Best of luck this week; you're certainly not without a chance against a Saints side which looks to be wobbling a bit.
